Chapter 18: Sign Language

3rd Person Pov:
Sonic and Gadget finally got out of that space prison after using a boost which led them out. "Hm? What?!" Doctor Eggman exclaimed seeing the pair, stand triumphly. "You might have sucked me in there but you made one mistake, EggHead! You dragged along Rookie here with me!" Sonic exclaimed pointimg towards Gadget who smiled proudly.

"Ugh, I'll get you two next time! Infinite, Let's go!" Eggman said and drove his machine towards his lair. "Come on, Rookie!" Sonic exclaimed and ran the other direction towards the resistance base unit. Although, both Rookie and Infinite stood there. Not wanting to go but to just stare into each other's eyes. "Have you told anyone yet?" Infinite asked while slowly pulling himself to the ground. Rookie looked around both ways and shut off his microphone a bit heistantly.

"No but.." He stuttered a bit, looking towards the ground. "Hm? What is it?" Infinite asked, crossing his arms. "I-I don't k-know how much I can k-keep this a s-secret.." Rookie said, his face blushing a bit with embarrassment. "Don't worry, I have everything under control. No one will know not even that blue moron." The Jackal reassured him, putting both his hands on Rookie's shoulders. Rookie smiled a bit but his eyes were a gateway.

Infinite could see the worry in his eyes and it seemed as if Rookie didn't trust him with that statement. Infinite then lifted his mask a little and kissed the wolf's forehead while giving him a small hug. "Okay Okay...I believe you." Gadget said, hugging him back while giggling. They soon broke the hug and Infinite put his mask back on. They knew that they're team would think they were battling if they were gone any longer.

As Infinite was about to leave, Gadget pulled on his arm. Gadget then sign languaged him 'I Love You'. The wolf waved goodbye and used his grabbling hook to leave. Infinite just stood there a bit surprised and flustered, he smiled under his mask and flew off.
