I'll Be a Hero for You (Human!Leo x Reader)

Leo's POV

I didn't really like the idea of becoming a human. Donnie had made these watches to turn us human for however long we wanted. I admit, I liked how I looked, but it just didn't seem like the best option. Why would we ever need this? We were ninjas, meaning we shouldn't be SEEN.

I was in my room looking over my human self again. I just didn't know. It made no sense. I wondered if Donnie had just done this in hope of getting April on the hook. I sighed. I turned myself back and geared up. I was going to go out for a bit. Just go around the city and clear my thoughts. I hadn't done that in awhile. I hoped it would help calm me. I went out without the others noticing.

Soon I was on the surface jumping from roof to roof. I stopped after a bit and looked out over the city. I smiled a little. The calm wind helped keep me cool and it was nice. I enjoyed the view for a bit, taking it in. Suddenly I heard a scream. I turned and quickly headed toward it. I was shocked as I saw a girl with (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes on the ground. She was baced into a corner by Kraang bots.

"Kraang must gather a female human test subject for Kraang." I glared at them. I turned into a human so she wouldn't be afraid of me, well...hopefully anyway. I jumped down and cut down the bot that was just about to taze her. She watched in shock as I fought them and cut the down. More were coming our way. I turned and held out my hand.

"Come on!" I said. She took my hand and I pulled her along quickly. She ran beside me as we hurried away. I saw a wall that I could boost her over. "This way!" I said. She followed me and I got down cupping my hands together. She looked at me then the wall and then back at me like I was insane. "Trust me!" I said. She did and I tossed her up. She gasped as she almost slipped, but she pulled herself over. I saw her hold her hand down for me. I jumped and grabbed her hand. She pulled me up. I took her hand again  and we jumped down. We kept running until we knew we were safe. I panted, out of breath from the mini adventure I'd just had. She was breathing hard too. "Are you alright miss?" I asked. She nodded.

"Y-yeah...*huff* I'm good." She replied. "Thank you for saving me. That was brave and kind of you." She said with a thankful smile. I nodded.

"Nothing to it. I'm used to fighting the Kraang." I said.

"I can see that. You're very talented with a katana." She said. I smiled a little.

"Thank you." I said.

"I'm (Y/n) (L/n) by the way."  She introduced.

"Leonardo. I go by Leo most of the time." I said. She smiled.

"Unique. I like it." She said. I smiled. She was really nice. 

"Hey, since the Kraang are probably looking for us, you want me to walk you home?" I asked.

"Thank you Leo. That'd be nice of you." She then told me were she lived and I helped her along the roof tops back to her home. 

"It was nice meeting you (Y/n)." I said. " I'd better get going."

"Not so fast hero boy. I do believe I owe you something for saving my life." She said.

"What? No, that's not necessary. I appreciate your offer though." I said.

"I insist." She said, taking my hand to stop me from leaving. I blushed a little bit.

"No, really you don't have to-" She gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. I blushed and started at her in shock. She grinned with a chuckle.

"See you around Leonardo. I look forward to the next time we see each other." She said, before walking into her house. I watched as she disappeared. I smiled a little. I went back home feeling light on my feet. That had been one of the best nights of my life.
