You were punching the training dummy like no tomorrow. You were so mad at Leo. He'd met this girl, Karai, a few weeks ago. Now she was all he ever talked about and it annoyed the hell out of you. Worst of all he never even noticed how ticked off it made you. You were so focused on punching the living daylight out of the dummy that you didn't hear Raph come in.
"You alright?" He asked.
"Fine. Why do you ask?" You said threw gritted teeth.
"You don't seem fine (Y/n). You've been punching that thing for 30 minutes now." He said.
"Better this than Leo." You growled.
"Let me guess, he was talking about Karai again?" He asked. Raph didn't really trust her so you and him were kind of on the same page with this.
"Of course he was! Since when is he not?! Ever since he met miss princess of the Foot Clan it's all he ever does! Karai this Karai that! He doesn't even notice me anymore! I said hi the other day and he just waved without even looking at me before going to his room! So actually, it's better I punch the stuffing out of this before I throw both of them off a cliff!" You said angrily. He nodded.
"I get it. It's been bothering me too. It really is the only thing he talks about. And I know it probably bothers you the most." He said.
"Why do you say that?" You asked.
"Because I know you have a huge crush on Leo." He said.
"I have no idea where that came from." You lied.
"Don't try and hide it. We've all seen how you act around him, well, at least before he started talking about Karai so much. It's pretty obvious." Raph said.
"It is?" You asked.
"Uh, yeah." He replied. You sighed.
"Well, it's that way for everyone except Leo." You huffed. He nodded.
"Yep. Basically." He said. "So how about we get him back?" He asked. You were interested.
"Oh? And how would we do that?" You asked.
"He's been going on and on about her, so how about we give him a taste of his own medicine?" Raph asked. You grinned.
"And how would we do that?" You asked.
"Let's make it look like we're together. Nothing serious obviously, but I bet it'll hand it to him 10 times better." He said. You grinned.
"I like where this is going." You said.
"So, starting tomorrow you have to start hanging out with me a bit more." He said. "Deal?"
"Deal."
*The next day*
You walked into the lair and said hi to everyone. Raph came over to you and you hid an evil smirk.
"Hey (Y/n). Wanna go have so fun with me?" He asked. You smiled sweetly at him.
"Sounds good to me." You said. He grinned at you and lead you away to the dojo. You caught a glimpse of Leo watching you both. You felt satisfaction. It was already starting to work. Raph showed off some moves to you and then Leo came in.
"Hey guys. What are you doing?" He asked, acting like he didn't just come to see you.
"Raph was just showing me some new moves he's been practicing. They're really cool!" You said.
"Bet you can't do them Leo!" He teased. Leo got defensive.
"I can too!" He said. Raph stepped back and you both grinned as Leo tried but slipped on a marble Raph had secretly dropped there.
"Wow, great job bro." Raph said.
"Maybe you'll get it next time Leo." You said as Raph took your arm and you both walked out. You both grinned at each other.
"This is gonna be fun." Raph chuckled. You both watched TV together and Raph had one arm around your waist. You honestly liked the attention, you were just sad you never got that kind of thing from Leo. Best enjoy it while it lasts. You figured. Leo spotted you both and you caught him heading to his room out of the corner of your eye. You grinned.
"Think it's working?"
"Absolutely."
*Then next day....again*
You were watching Space Heroes with Leo until Raph called you over. You didn't want to leave since you were actually enjoying the time with him, but you left anyway. You went over to Raph and he pulled you to his room.
"So, what's been going on with you?" He asked.
"Not much. Although today my science teacher accidentally put to much of something into his mixture and it basically exploded in his face!" You said. Raph laughed.
"That must've been fun to watch!" He said.
"Yeah! But not for the kids that were in the splash zone, it stained their clothes." Raph laughed even harder at it. You both talked and joked with each other for hours. It was basically the only thing you did throughout your visit. When you had to leave Raph offered to escort you home. You both walked out of his room still joking around with each other. Leo saw that you were leaving with Raph.
"Heading home already?" He asked, sounding kind of disappointed.
"Yeah. I gotta go." You said.
"I-I could take you." He offered.
"Nah. I got it Leo." Raph said. He frowned.
"A-alright." He agreed.
"Come on (Y/n), let's go." Raph said. You smiled at him and left.
"I'll see you later!" Leo called.
"Bye!" You called over your shoulder.
Once you were both a ways away from the lair you said,
"I feel kinda bad for being mean to him though." You said.
"Yeah, but don't you want to show him how you felt?" Raph asked.
"It's only fair." You said.
*One week of this later*
You came into the lair and before Leo could even say anything Raph came over and said,
"Hey. Miss me already?" He teased. You chuckled.
"Maybe." You replied, fully aware that Leo was watching you both.
"Aw, how sweet." Raph teased. "Guess I'm lucky to have a girl like you around." He said.
"Raph, stop teasing me." You chuckled.
"Aw, what's wrong with that?" He asked wrapping his arms around you.
"Raph! Haha! Stop!" You laughed. Leo suddenly got up and went to the kitchen. You both saw him leave and grinned at each other. "Think it worked?"
"Sure did."
Leo's POV
That's it. I'm done listening to them. I thought and left angrily. I went to the kitchen and sat down muttering angrily to myself.
"You okay bro?" Mikey asked as he came in.
"Ugh, no! I don't get it!" I growled.
"Get what?" He asked, sitting down across from me.
"She's my best friend and all of a sudden she starts clinging to Raph like no tomorrow! What the heck!? And he's doing it back! I can't believe those two!" I said.
"Well....now you know how she feels." He said.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"You've been talking about Karai so much that it's been getting on more than just her nerves." Donnie said as he joined in on the conversation.
"What? I haven't been talking about her that much." I said.
"You sure about that? Plus you've been ignoring her too. One time she said hi to you first and all you did was ave before going to your room. That was the day that you'd seen Karai again." Donnie said.
"Yeah." Mikey agreed. I remembered that day. I felt guilty. Maybe I had been a little rude to her.
"I...didn't mean to." I said.
"Well that really hurt her bro. Especially since she's had this huge crush on you since, like, forever." Mikey said.
"Wait what?" I asked, shocked. Donnie face palmed.
"Way to go Mikey. And yes, she does have a crush on you." Donnie said. I felt even worse now. I've gotta talk to her. I thought. I got up and left.
"About time." I heard Donnie say as I left. I ignored it and went to where I saw her playing a game with Raph.
"Hey (Y/n)? Can I talk to you?" I asked. She looked up at me.
"Why?" She asked.
"I just need to talk to you." I said. She got up and I lead her to my room. I closed the door and sighed.
"So? What do you want this time?" She asked. I frowned.
"(Y/n)...listen...I'm sorry." I said. She looked confused. "I know that you just did that to get back at me. I can see why. I'm sorry I didn't realize what I was doing." I told her. She looked surprised.
"Why are you sorry? I thought you didn't care." She said. I was shocked.
"What? No! Of course I care!" I said, taking her hand. "And I'm really sorry I didn't see it." I said.
"See what?" She asked. I grinned. I pulled her toward me and kissed her.
"Mph!" She was startled by it, but I felt my heart speed up as she kissed back. When it broke she smiled at me. "Took you long enough." She said. I chuckled. I hugged her.
"I love you." I said. She hugged back.
"I love you too Leo."
