(This Net Neutrality thing is scaring the crap out of me. I will start of riot if they start making me pay for these websites. Just because some greedy man wants more money gives them no right to make us pay for simple things like this. I love you guys so much, I don't want to lose this.)

"It should just be a few more minutes until you're at the entrance of the village." You muttered, staring out the window of the carriage. Prince Jack nodded, adjusting his suit and glancing up at his coachman.
"You can stop those degrading looks of yours, lad. You know I can see you." The man up front jumped a bit at the Prince's tense words and tore his eyes away from your direction. He nodded, fumbling for words to defend himself.
"My greater apologies your highness. It's just...you know what people will say if they see you and that thi...if they see her." He states in a nervous tone, seeing the cobbled streets just ahead of him. Jack rolled his eyes and shook his head. You crumbled up the ends of your dress and tapped your foot.
"Uh, that's why I'll be let out before you go too far into the village. That way I can be out of sight and no one would have to see me being with royalty. I wouldn't want to start anything bad in your favor." You said, looking over and smiling. Jack pursed his lips, looking torn between what was right and what was wrong.
"Perfect, we can get that out of the way just in time for the villagers to see the prince." Jack shot a glare at the man and sighed, sending an apologetic look your way. You didn't know how to register these thoughts racing through your mind.
You were sitting in a carriage that looked like it cost more than your entire house and more. You felt completely out of place, sticking out like a sore thumb.
Still, this prince..Jack..insisted he treat you with the same kindness he receives every single day. The horse trotted along the dirt trail, Jack consistently looking over at you and looking like he wanted to ask a billion questions. Ironically, both minds wanted to ask the same questions about each other.
"Why are you treating me like this?" You asked out loud, unable to stop the words from spilling out. He cocked his head to the side, his blue eyes searching yours.
    "Like what?"
"Well..people like you would be spitting on me and complaining about having the breath the same air that I breathe. Usually it ends with name calling and glares from the Higher. You're acting the complete opposite..why?" He leaned forward, hands collapsed in his lap as he looked over your face.
"From what I see, you're just like me." You scoffed, unable to keep from laughing as you sat cross legged in the seat and tucked some hair behind your ears. Compared to Jack, you were a worm on the ground and he was a beautiful and extravagant falcon soaring into the air. He had the ability to crush you into absolutely nothing, and you had no power at all.
"Just because you were born in poverty, doesn't mean you should be treated like dirt. I have a castle, you don't. I have riches beyond belief, you don't. I'm the prince of the king ruling this village, you aren't. Still, I look at you, and I see nothing but a charming and beautiful young lady. A lady who deserves the same respect as a Higher. I truly mean that."
His words shocked you slightly and you watched him sit back and run his fingers through his radiant green hair. You gulped, unable to comment back as the shock was still settling. This prince, this member of the highest royalty in your village, just stated that you deserved to sit beside him and be respected as well.
"I-I....um...well..well thank you, your majesty. That's uh that's very endearing of you to say. Unfortunately, you're one of very few who believe that." He nodded, looking out the window to see the carriage had stopped. You were still in the woods, but just a few more steps and you'd be in the village.
"Alright, here's your stop, lady. Get out and hurry or else I'll be forced to throw you in the bushes. You're already late enough, your highness." The man jumped down from his seat and opened the carriage door. You nodded, quickly jumping onto the ground and feeling the grass between your toes.
You started walking into the bushes when you heard the prince call out for you. You turned around, confused as to why he still wanted to even see you. He stepped down, smiling warmly and sticking his hand out. The coachman quirked an eyebrow and looked displeased. You took a step forward, looking at it.
"I want to thank you again for your generous help. We would've never made it out of those blasted woods if you wouldn't have come along. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart." He took a bow towards you, standing back up and holding his hand out. You took it, shaking it gently before stepping back.
"When The Prince is saying goodbye, you must bow to him and address him as "Prince Jack." You blushed, stuttering a little before clearing your throat and bowing. Jack looked at the coachman with a scowl.
"Please, you don't have to do th-"
"I don't mind, Prince Jack. You are royalty, after all." You gave him a smirk as you stood back up from your bow. As the coachman was practically tugging on his sleeve to get back inside, he raised his hand.
"May I see you again?" You tripped over yourself, wondering if you heard him correctly.
"R-Really?" He nodded eagerly, flashing you a bright smile. The man beside him scowled at you with a dirty look before huffing and giving a slight shove towards the carriage.
"I don't think that'd be a very good thing, sir. My kind just doesn't fit in with yours.." You said, almost in disappointment.
"Oh, nonsense, m'lady! I want to see you again, and that's an order. How about tonight? It'll be in the moonlight and the village shall be asleep. What do you say? Teach a prissy prince the ropes of the village life, yeah?" He offered, winking and pulling his lips into an adorable crooked smile.
With his crystal blue eyes and warming smile, it was difficult to reject it. You bit your bottom lip, nodding slightly before looking over to see people walking down the street. The coachmen led him back into the carriage, rolling his eyes and grumbling to himself.
"I shall see you tonight, (Y/N)! Meet back here, the entrance of the village. Then, love, you can show me how to really have some good ole' fun!" He waved, smiling widely from his window as the coachman pushed the horse to start trotting again.
From the bushes, you waved back, maybe a little to eagerly. You were still trying to wrap your head around the whole ordeal. Looking down at your muddy feet and torn dress, you didn't see what he saw in a dirty rat like you. You were the poorest of the poor with barely enough money to keep your family afloat.
Yet, when he looked at you, you swore you'd think he was looking at a field full of blooming flowers or gold. The thought made your heart beat loudly in your chest and your cheeks get kissed with blush. You shook your head, unable to keep the excitement from showing on your face.
Watching the carriage disappear down the street, you saw him looking at you through the curtains in the back of the carriage. With one last wave, he disappeared towards the castle towering over the village. It was so grand and so beautiful, everything you wished you had.
As you walked back to your home with your burlap bag hanging on your shoulders, you couldn't keep the smile off of your face. People avoided you through the streets as usual. The name calling didn't hurt as much, the dirty looks you were given were simply ignored, and even the occasional thrown rock or pieces of food seemed to miss you.
Your mind was spilling with ideas for tonight and what you were going to teach him. He was a prince who had everything given to him on a silver platter. He was a soldier though, so he does know what danger was. You smiled to yourself, feeling all giddy inside as you made it to your home.
He doesn't know how to have fun. He's never ran through the mud with bare feet, or swam in a lake at night when everyone was slumbering. He's probably never even climbed a tree just to catch the sunrise waking up and kissing the sky good morning. He's never experienced what being free was like. You rubbed your hands together, smiling over at the castle in the distance.

See you tonight..Prince...
