17. Fine Play

Cayden's POV

Napapatiimbagang na lang ako sa tuwing pumapalpak ang babaeng nasa harapan ko. Dalawang araw na itong nag-eensayo pero di pa rin nito maperpekto ang lahat. Ni isang atake ay wala man lang makalusot sa akin.

But the most weird thing is, I dreamt about this girl for so many times already. In my first dream about her, she was a weak woman. Very fragile. But suddenly it was change to exactly what she is right now. I don't even know why am I dreaming about this woman. I don't even like her for pete's sake. She got this unbearable behavior and she is too noisy.

"Again." Saad ko na lang. Hangga't hindi siya makakalusot sa aking depensa ay di kami titigil.

"Crap." Saad nito sabay hingal.

Alam ko na pagod na pagod na ito. Humahanga din ako sa determinasyon nito na manalo at matuto. Wala na akong naririnig ni isang reklamo nito, maliban lang kung papalpak na naman ito sa atake. Nahuhuli ko nga minsan ito na pinapagalitan ang sarili which is very amusing.

I don't know but right now I know I hate her but at the same time not. Whatever reason it is I don't plan to dig over it.

"Is it necessary to just sword fight? It will take a hundred years before I can penetrate your defense." Saad nito. Mukhang nauubos na ang pasensya nito.

Napaisip naman ako. She is right. We are too focus with sword techniques or breaking the defense. I almost forgot the most vital thing. Combination will do.

"You got some point. Tell me what you are good at." Tanong ko naman rito. Well, I already have a clue what is it but it should come from her.

Yumuko naman ito. "Hand to hand combat skills is my forte. I may learn with sword skills but it will take time." Saad nito na mukhang nahihiya.

Napataas naman ang aking kilay. It is just very unimaginable for a girl as bold as her is acting like a shy girl. But I find it too amusing.

"Why are you shy?" Tanong ko rito. I got the urge to bully this little kitten.

"C-cause no one asked before. And why do you even care?" Saad nito na sabay irap pa talaga.

For heaven's sake, I am suppressing my laughter. She acts like a kid at the same time! And she said combat skills right? I can't even imagine before for a girl as beautiful as her is like Genieva. She is too beautiful to become a warrior.

Damn! Did I just said beautiful to this girl? Parang gusto ko naman sapakin ang sarili ko. Since when I noticed the cute side of this girl? And I even said cute side. For crying outloud, what is happenning to me?

I cleared my thought. Mukhang pipiyok kasi ang boses ko dahil sa kung anu-anong iniisip ko. "We can use it. If that is your advantage we'll make use of it." Sagot ko dito. I tried not to be obvious that I am currently in a state of argument with my reason.

Lumiwanag naman ang mukha nito na akala mo sinabihan mo na magpapahinga na sa wakas. But her smile seems makes everyone draws in.

August's POV

I squeezed the grip of my sword more tightly. Isang kamay lang pwedeng ipanghawak ko dito since gagalaw na ako ng normal. Wala na akong pakialam even my hair resembles with a bird's nest. Naging face powder ko na rin ang mga alikabok at perfume ang pawis. Nakakadiri pero mag-iinarte pa ba ako kung bukas eh mapapatay ako? Di bale na ng mukhang dugyot matututo naman.
