Chapter 25

"The year went by way too fast." I said picking at my food. Nathaniel, who was eating everything in sight nodded his head in agreement, not being able to talk because of all of the food in his mouth. Mary laughed and rolled her eyes.

"It was a fun year!" Angie smiled. Angie had survived after a month of unbearable pain. We actually did lose her at one point but luckily, she pulled through.

"More like deadly..." Alice laughed.

We all smiled remembering everything.

"Wait until I tell my parents about all of this. And Petunia! She will flip out!" I said, smiling at the thought of getting to see them again.

"You haven't told them yet?" Nathaniel asked, shocked.

"They only know what Dumbledore told them which is not very much. It's a long story! I don't have time to write it all out and send it by owl!"

"You saved someone's life by risking your own! That's a big deal!" He retorted.

"I'll tell them tomorrow when I get home!"

He nodded his head in understanding and shoved another bite of mashed potatoes in his mouth. I drank some pumpkin juice and looked over at the Slytherin table. I found Luke and smiled at him laughing with his friends, glad that he was alive. He looked over at me and waved. I waved back then looked away. "I'm going to miss you all so much this summer! Promise me you will write!" I pleaded.

"Of course!" Angie, Alice and Mary all exclaimed while I got an "I guess I will" from Nathaniel. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "I'm kidding! Geez!"

I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Typical Nathaniel."

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked pretending to be angry.

"Oh nothing..." I sang and smiled.

The train came to a stop. Alice, Angie, Nathaniel, Luke, and I just sort of looked at each other before we picked up our trunks and headed out of our compartment. I watched as they all stepped off of the train. I was the last off. I got to the last step and taking a deep breath, I smiled and stepped off the train. "It's weird not being sad that we're leaving Hogwarts" I said to Alice.

"I think it's because we're just as happy at Hogwarts as we are to see our families. Besides, we will all be back next year! I'll see you in three months!" I hugged her and smiled.

"Goodbye Alice!"

I turned around to see Angie. "I'll miss you!" I said to her and hugged her.

"I'll miss you too."

I looked for Mary but then found a tap on my shoulder. I looked behind me to see her. "Bye Mary! Remember to write!"

"Of course I will!" She said, hugging me.

I turned to find Luke and Nathaniel and could see they were already with their family. I walked timidly over to them. Nathaniel saw me first and smiled, hugging me goodbye. Luke saw Nathaniel and hugged me next. "Lily, thank you for saving my life."

"It wasn't just me!" I responded.

He shook his head and hugged me again.

"Mum!" He said. His mother turned around to look at me. "This is Lily Evans. She saved my life."

His mum gasped and tears welled up in her eyes. She quickly took two steps closer to hug me. "Thank you." She said with such gratitude. "Thank you so much. You saved my son." She let go and smiled at me.

"I didn't do it by myself." I said, glancing at Nathaniel.

"Regardless Lily, thank you!"

I smiled. "I better be going. I need to find my family."

They all nodded there heads. "Goodbye!" They all said at once.

I packed my trunk and owl on a trolley and started running towards the platform. After making it through a brick walls, I saw all of the muggle families waiting for their children.

"Lily!" I heard my dad scream.

"Dad! Mum! Petunia!" I screamed back. I left my trolley, running towards them and hugging them all at once. "I love you. I have so much to tell you."
