The classes were difficult and the subjects were so much different than a normal school's. Once a week, we had to go to the astronomy tower and study the stars and planets at midnight. Which was hard to study since they're always changing.
Three times a week, we went outside to the greenhouses for Herbology with Mistress Kress. There, we learned about magical plants, how to care for them, which were poisonous, which were edible, what they could heal and what they would just make worse. There were so many plants! It was hard to keep track of them all.
The most boring class was easily History of Magic. It was taught by a ghost who had died when he fell asleep by the staff room fire. The next morning, he got up to teach and left his body behind him.
I did the best in Muggle Studies. It was taught by a young women called by Mistress Fay. She was just like me. She was Muggle-born and very kind. Muggle Studies cane easy to me and I hardy ever had to study for I knew all of the material.
Professor Slughorn taught Potions which also came surprisingly easy to me! Slughorn was extremely nice to me and an enjoyable teacher.
Proffesor McGonagall who was head of Gryffindor tower also taught transfiguration.
Proffesor Pollock Taught Divination which I had to work hard at in order to understand.

"I miss my family" I told Nathaniel with a frown. It was late and only Nathaniel and I were up.
"Why don't you send them a letter with Beethoven?" suggested Nathaniel.
I smiled at him. That was a great idea! I promised my family I would write but had not thought about it due to being so busy with school. I grabbed some ink, parchment and a quill and began to write.
Mum, Dad and Petunia,
I miss you too much to describe. I have been so busy with school and have not had the time to write. I have been doing well in school and have a lot of great friends! I got into Gryffindor but Sev is in Slytherin and I don't see him very often. Those are two out of four places that Hogwart's students live. Attached is a picture of my friends and I laughing out by the lake. From left to right is my friend Angela Cooke, Nathaniel Bane, Alice Fortescue, me, than Mary Abnock. I hope you like it! The teachers are nice and one of them (Professor Slughorn) favors me most. He is the potions master and it turns out I'm great at potions!
I hope everything is fine over there! Don't worry about me! Professor says I'm allowed to come home over Christmas Break. I can't wait to see you!

(oh and feed Beethoven. His journey was long!)
I read over what I had just written and smiled. "Beethoven!" I half called, half whispered. Beethoven hopped over to the couch I was sitting on, in front of the fire and then flew up to the arm of the chair. He gave me a friendly peck on the ear as I tied the note to his talons with a blue ribbon. Blue was Petunia's favorite color.
"I'm heading of to bed." I told Nathaniel with a yawn.
"Goodnight." He responded.
I fell softly onto my bed once I had gone down the stairs to the girls' room.

"Harry!" I woke up with a start. I looked outside. Dawn was breaking. I quietly rose from my pillow. Still shaking from the dream, I managed to get up the stairs that led to the common room. It was empty except for a boy who looked like he was in his 5th year.
What does that dream mean? I asked myself. It had been the exact same one as the night before. The same dream two nights? Both of the dreams were so real and if I hadn't of woken up in my bed I wouldn't have believed the dream was fake. Who was Harry?
"Are you alright?" Asked the boy.
"What?" I said immediately. "Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled for reassurance. He raised an eyebrow then shrugged and went back to the book he was reading
Restless, I decided to go down the Great Hall early. I walked out of the portrait hole and apparently awoke the fat lady.
"You kids! What could you be doing up so-oh! Lily." she said when she saw who it was. "I'm sorry dear. I thought it was one of Potter's friends. James and Sirius got up very early this morning. They were snickering as they left. Do be careful Lily."
"I will." I said grateful for the information. "Thank you." I gave her a smile before I turned around and started walking towards the Great Hall. I was going to stop James. If he caused any trouble or hurt Sev...
Was Sev down there? I hope not! My steady walk turned into more of a run.
When I got down to the Great Hall, I found Sev on the floor with a wand to his neck. Sev was crying. "Please! Don't tell! You can't tell!" I had never seen Sev cry like that. "Please don't tell!" He begged between chokes of sobs. "Don't tell her! Don't tell Lily!"
I walked into view as he said the word Lily. Sev looked at me in terror. He was speechless, but James wasn't.
"Aww, if it isn't Lily! Lily Evans! Come to save the day, I assume?" he said in a mocking tone. His wand was in his right hand pointed towards Sev's neck. I saw Sev's wand across the floor. Sev's only defense was me. I drew my wand and pointed it towards James. There was no way I would allow anything to happen to my best friend.
Before I even knew what I was doing, I had sent a stunning spell at James and another at Sirius who ran from his hiding place when I took out my wand. James blocked the spell but Sirius didn't. Sirius fell flat on the floor as James sent a spell at me that I had never heard of. I hopped out of the way of the blue light.
"Accio Severus' wand." The wand came speeding towards me. I caught it and threw it to Sev. I turned back to James as he sent a stunning spell at me which I dodged last second.
"Oh come on, Lily! Is this all you have?" He proceeded to cast two spells at me. I fell to the floor in order to escape their damage. The spells hit a chair behind me, causing it to explode. I covered my head and hoped the shards would hit James. I heard him yell slightly. I looked up to see him pulling a small piece if wood out if his leg and for a moment, I felt sorry for him. I shook it off.
"Expeliarmus!" I heard a voice yell and I was terrified for a moment. I looked down and to my surprise, saw my wand still in my hand. James' wand had flown out of his hand and Was spiraling towards me. I caught it. I stood there looking at James. His leg was bleeding and he was defenseless.
"Give me my wand!" he yelled and started running towards me, disregarding his injury. Scared, I threw the wand as far as I could away from him. I ran towards Sev. I grabbed his hand and yanked him off of the ground. We started running but James had got to his wand. He sent a spell at Sev who dodged it, causing a window to break. Sev spun me to the other side of him to block me from the exploding glass. Sev turned back. "Stupify!"
James dropped to the ground, unable to move just as I turned around to see an angry faced Professor McGonagall. "Hello."
Reader,
I hope you liked the miny battle between Sev and Lily and James and Sirius. I'm in the mood for some constructive criticism. Like how I haven't been uploading lately :( I just got the main part in a play that will be in a week. I hope you LOVE the story so far. How do you think Lily will react to Sev keeping a secret from her? What will Professor McGonagall do to them? Find out next time on Lily Evans!
