I woke up with a start, I sighed in annoyance, these nightmares are getting annoying! I sleepily got out of bed and went to the kitchen to eat something. Once I was done eating my bowl/plate of (favorite food) I put my dishes in the sink to wash later, I'm too lazy to wash them right now. Just then there was a knock of my door, I flew over to the door and opened it, only to be face to face with my best friend, Soarin. He looked exhausted like normal,"Hey, Crystal note. Princess cadence is having a celebration for the wonderbolts at the crystal empire." Soaring said, he was looking everywhere but at me, was he too nervous to look at me? I realized how it's a celebration for something I'm not apart of,"Soarin, if it's a celebration for the wonderbolts, why are you telling me about it? I'm not a wonderbolt." I pointed out, he finally looked at me in the eyes,"I know, it's because we're allowed to bring a +1. So what I'm trying to say is..." he trialed off, his pretty green eyes fell to the ground and he awkwardly kicked the ground with his hoof,"Would you.. like to be my +1, Crystal note?" Soarin asked shyly, I seen his cheeks turn a shade of pink, I felt my face heat up a bit. I kept calm even though I was freaking out mentally,"Sure. I'd love to, Soarin." I smiled sweetly at him, his expression instantly turned bright,"Really? Sweet! It's tomorrow night, so, see you then." He tried staying cool but I can easily see his excitement in his eyes, he hugged me goodbye then flew off. Leaving me in the cloud and lightning trail, I coughed a bit and got away and sighed 'I'm Soarin's +1! ' I thought with pride, then something popped into my head,' I have nothing to wear to the celebration thing... maybe Rarity can help me with that problem! '. And with that I took off to the sky, I got to Rarity's boutique in no time!
I entered the lovely place, the bell sang as the door bumped it. Rarity walked up to me,"Why hello, Crystal note! What can I help you with, dear?" Rarity asking in a soothing voice,"Well, Soarin offered me to be his +1 for this wonderbolts celebration thing in the crystal empire. And I need your help finding something to wear." I answered, Rarity gasped,"Oh my celestia! You and I are both going to the celebration, and your crush is the one taking you! Oh! I'm so happy for you, darling!" Rarity squealed, I hid the blush that crept onto my cheeks,"Well... who's taking you?" I asked, trying to make her forget about the fact that my crush is taking me,"Rainbow dash is. But enough with talking, you need a outfit for tomorrow night, do you not?" Rarity asked even though she already knew the answer,"Yes." I mumbled,"Well I have an outfit that just for you!" Rarity cheered, and before I could say anything else I suddenly has a dress on! The chest piece was (f/f), and the multi layers on the back part was a pattern of one layer being a clear, thin (o/f/c), and the other clear and thin layer (o/f/c). Small gems was scattered here and there on the sparkly dress, and I also had a necklaces with a charm that was my cutie mark around my neck. Rarity seemed to love the dress on me,"What do you think, Crystal note?" She asked,"I think it's lovely." I replied, rarity looked satisfied with that,"Wonderful! I can't wait to see you there, darling!" Rarity smiled. I nodded to tel her felt the same and then flew home with my new dress. I put the dress and necklace on the couch then I went to the kitchen to eat something... before I even knew it, it was getting late. So I flopped onto bed and drifted to sleep......
=Time skip to the celebration..=

It was time for the celebration, I put of the dress and the necklace. And then there was a knock at my door, I already knew who it was,"Come in." I called out, I heard the door open and close,"Crystal note? Where are you?" Soarin called back,"In my room, I'll be out on a moment!" I answered, I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure I looked good. Then I flew out of my room to see Soarin, he was waiting for me on my couch, he wore his normal wonderbolts outfit like always. Which made me feel silly for wearing a sparkly dress,"Hi Soarin." I said shyly, he took one look at me and said nothing, all he did was stare, it made me uncomfortable,"I.. look silly, don't I?" I mumbled as my eyes dropped to the ground, he instantly un froze,"What? No, no. You just.... I didn't expect to see you dressed up so beautifully.." Soarin stammered, in the corner of my eye I could see his blush. My face turned a shade of pink,"You really think I'm beautiful?" I asked with a shy smile, finally having the confidence to look at him. His blush got darker and he nodded,"Are you.. ready to go?" Soarin asked awkwardly, I nodded,"Yes. Let's go." I answered, we flew together to the Crystal empire, side by side. It was wonderful!
When we got there everypony was so kind! One of the guards stopped us as we walked into the castle,"Excuse me, Soarin. Is this your plus one? I need their name." The guard said with a serious expression,"Oh, yeah, she's my plus one. Her name is Crystal note, my best friend." Soarin answered him, my chest ached when he said friend, I did want to tell him how I felt about him at the celebration. But now.. what's the point? He sees me as a friend, just a friend. My head went blank and before I realized what I was doing I was running out of the castle and far away. I didn't even bother turning back...
I heard Soarin coming after me,"Crystal note! Wait!" I ignored him and took to the sky and hid ontop of a cloud, as soon as I saw him fly away, with my tear covered vision I flew back down to the ground, I sat down next the stream and my tears fell into the moving water. Soarin was suddenly sitting next to me,"Mind telling me why you ran off like you did?" Soarin asked as he whipped away my tears,"we're just friends... you don't have to worry about it..." I sniffled, Soarin said nothing for a few seconds then he finally spoke,"You want to be more then friends don't you?" Soarin asked, I froze and felt my face heat up,"Well... y-yes but... I.." I stammered, I was completely lost for words! But Soarin didn't seem to care, he just made me look at him and he kissed me on the lips! my face was on fire! It didn't take long for me to melt into it and kiss back...
Suddenly a crowd of ponies jumped out and surrounded us,"Congratulations, Soarin!" Cheered spit fire from the front of the crowd, we quickly pulled apart and looked around in confusion,"What is going on?" Soarin asked, princess cadence and shining armor walked into view,"The celebration, of course! Everypony here knew you two had feelings for eachother, so we hoped at the 'celebration' one of you would confess but Crystal note ran away, but no big deal you two are happy together now, that's what matters. So, let's celebrate!" Cheered princess cadence, just then music started playing, balloons and confetti scattered everywhere.
And well...
I danced the night away with my new special somepony, it was a dream come true!...
