I was walking my dog ember around the park, it was peaceful. Intill somepony broke it,"Angel! Come back, please!" Somepony cried, I turned my head to see a bunny running away in fright. A pony needs it or something, I might as well help them catch it! I flew after the bunny and soon caught it,"Gotcha little guy! Where are you going in such a rush?" I asked the bunny, the bunny glared at me,"Oh, thank you! I thought I'd loose him." Somepony whispered, I looked over to see a cute mare that was a pegasus with a light pink mane, a yellow coat, and beautiful blue eyes standing there,"Uhh... Is this bunny yours?" I asked, she nodded and hummed in response,"Okay." I smiled and passed her the white bunny,"Thank you." She smiled shyly,"No problem." I smiled back,"You know, if I couldn't catch him I don't know what I'd do... So... May I repay you?" She asked kindly,"I don't really want you to repay me or anything." I chuckled nervously,"Oh please, I'll feel guilty if I don't!" She made puppy eyes, I sighed,"Fine..." I whispered, I seen my dog, ember, rolling around on the ground. She now had a lot of mud, dirt, grass, and leaves in her fur. She got up and ran over,"I guess, you could... Help me give my dog a bath." I shrugged,"Yay! I love animals!" She whisper cheered, I chuckled. The mare lead me over to a cottage, I believe it is her home, she brought a wooden crate out and filled it up with soapy water. I put ember into the crate full of water, she immediately shook, making mud and water fly everywhere. It got on me and the mare, we just laughed at it. We worked together to wash ember but every time she got clean, she jumps right back into the mud and gets dirty again. It took all day to clean ember without her getting dirty four seconds later! The mare and I were exhausted, and it's all thanks to ember! It was getting late and dark, to dark. I could barley see five hoof steps ahead of me! The mare let me stay the night, so atleast I'm not wondering in the dark with my dog. Inside her cottage was nice and bright,"You can sleep here, I won't mind...." She smiled shyly,"Okay, thanks." I smiled back, ember ran past me and curled up on the carpet, the mare and I giggled at her. I remembered something,"Oh yeah, I never got your name." I said calmly,"I-I'm Fluttershy.." fluttershy whispered,"What a lovely name. I'm shadow cast." I smiled,"Well, good night, shadow cast..." fluttershy whispered shyly, then she walked upstairs,"Good night, fluttershy." I replied then fell asleep on her comfy green couch....

(Still shadow casts pov)
I woke up from whimpering, I sleeply looked at the clock, it was shortly after midnight. I might as well find out where the whimpering is coming from. I slumped off of the couch and snook past ember so I wouldn't wake her up, I crept upstairs and found a room that looked like it was fluttershys room. Fluttershy was whimpering as she tossed and turned in her bed, she was having a nightmare.... I climbed into bed next to her and hugged her, she stopped freaking out,"Calm down, Fluttershy, it's just a nightmare..." I whispered, fluttershy relaxed and she snuggled into my chest, my face heated up. I slowly snuggled back.
She won't mind me comforting her when she gets a nightmare. Right?
