   Y/N'S POV

The next morning, I woke up in bed alone. I slowly got up and slipped on my favorite pair of slippers, before I headed into the kitchen.

Alfred smiled at me and said,"How are you feeling, Miss Y/N?"

I smiled back and said,"Fine, Alfred. Thank you. Umm, where is Bruce? Is he out again?"

Alfred shook his head and pointed down towards the Batcave. I bowed to Alfred in thank you, before I jogged down the stairs. I noticed the Batmobile was gone, so Bruce probably left to do something. Hopefully, he did not sign himself up for a suicide mission again.
I said a silent prayer that he would be okay, before I waited inside the Batcave for him. I turned on the Batcomputer and smiled at the background. It was the picture I had taken of Bruce and I at our date a couple of weeks ago. Black really was his color. I laughed at my own thought, but I jumped at hearing the Batmobile enter the Batcave.

However, when the Batmobile finally came to a complete stop, I noticed how hard Bruce had stopped the expensive vehicle. He must be angry or upset about something. I am guessing that something was Superman.
Batman jumped out of the Batmobile and did not even notice me. I frowned and watched him walk up the stairs and finally over to where I was sitting.

Batman looked at me for a minute, before he leaned down and kissed me slowly. I was surprised, but I kissed him back. He brought me closer, and I blushed. Batman slowly pulled away and put his forehead on mine.

I closed my eyes and softly said,"Bruce, what happened?"

Bruce shook his head and said,"Y/N, I saw Superman. It is time."

I looked at Bruce confused and said,"Time for what? No, no, you are not about to fight him."

Bruce sighed, but I could tell he was not actually hearing what I was saying.

Bruce held my chin and looked me in the eyes saying,"Y/N, I have to. Someone has to stop him. No one else can do this. This is something that I am willing to do in order to keep my city safe, too."

I sighed and rested my head against his chest.

Bruce looked down at me and said,"Y/N, I will be all right. I promise. He may be Superman, but I know what I am doing. I do not want to lose anyone else, especially you. I love you, Y/N."

I cupped Bruce's face and said,"I love you, too, Wayne. I love you, too."

Bruce smiled down at me, before he placed a soft kiss on my lips and slowly let go of my chin. He kissed my cheek, before he made his way back to his Batmobile. I smiled, but I was not certain of how things would go between Clark and Bruce.

I cared about Clark, too, because Clark saved my life last year. I owed him my life, and I could never forget that. I was really worried, though, about the pain that Clark and Bruce could inflict on each other.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Alfred.

Alfred said,"Miss Y/N, would you like to help me make dinner?"

I nodded and followed Alfred up the stairs.

   HOURS LATER...

Eventually, Bruce had come to an understanding about Superman, and he valued him as a close friend. Right now, I was waiting on Bruce to get back home. Yeah, I was just going to have to deal with this like I did every other day.
I heard Bruce's voice booming from inside the kitchen and ran into the kitchen. I saw Bruce standing there and talking to Alfred. I ran to Bruce, attacking him in kisses. Bruce chuckled and returned my kisses.

He held me saying,"I missed you, too, Y/N. You and Al okay?"

I gave Alfred a high five. Bruce just shook his head, looking between the Alfred and I. I giggled and noticed Bruce walk up the stairs.
Alfred motioned for me to follow him, so I followed Bruce. Bruce walked into his bedroom and sat down on the bed.

I sat down behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

I kissed his cheek and said,"Hey, Clark will be okay. Bruce, you did the right thing. I know it hurts, baby, but you will get through this. I have faith in you, remember?"

Bruce looked like he was about to cry, which he was never afraid to do in front of me.

I squeezed his waist and said,"I am proud of you, Batman, for doing the right thing. I love you."

  "I love you, too, Y/N."
