Two days later Naomi stuffed her bright red car with her suitcases while Tamara sat in the driver's seat. "Move it, loser..." Naomi said to her friend getting her out f the driver's seat.

"I'm going to miss this car." Tamara said. "It's going to be hard to go back to the prius."

"Yeah. I think it's going to be hard to go back to something else too." Naomi answered.

"What do you mean?" Tamara asked worried.

"He bought it. Why would I keep it? It's like a ring...you just give it back." Naomi replied.

"No, a ring is a gift. This was a gift too. You keep the car." Tamara answered.

"I don't know." she said moving the car into drive flipping the radio to one of the several pop stations on her satalite radio. "It's just weird. Maybe if I do keep it I just trade it in for a different one. We've like done everything in here..."

"Oh no you did not!" Tamara exclaimed. "I really need you two to stay together because fanficton."

"Oh god. Shut up." Naomi laughed as she merged onto the highway turning up the radio secretly hoping to hear one of her songs. "You know what?" she asked.

"What?" Tamara responded.

"Do you have to be anywhere tonight?" Naomi wondered.

"Nope." Tamara responded.

"Let's go get drunk." Naomi suggested.

"Oh no. I have to work tomorrow." she shook her head.

"But I will support whatever you need to do to get over him. As long as you're safe." Tamara explained. "And that means letting me drive you home."

At the same time Naomi was sitting with Tamara at the bar where Bruno had heard her sing for the first time, he sat on his couch with Geronimo on his lap flipping through Netflix. "Why are all these movies she watched when we were here?" he asked the dog. "Yeah. You don't know the answer either do you, G?" he started to talk to his dog scrolling through his tv screen settling on Sons of Anarchy. "She wouldn't let us watch this...so let's do this thing..." he told himself stretching out on the couch closing his eyes halfway through the first episode falling asleep.

"Do you need anything else?" Lily, a bartender with a sleeve tattoo of various flowers on her arms, asked Naomi.

"No. I don't think so. Not right now." Tamara said pulling Naomi's glass away from her.

"You said you'd support me!" Naomi said joking pushing the glass toward Lily. "I want some white wine. Whatever. It can be cheap. It can be expensive. Just something."

"You sure, sweetheart?" Lily asked.

"Let her have it." Tamara shrugged glancing at her phone. "I think Grace and Becca are going to meet us. Wouldn't it be nice to have them here?"

"Yeah. Uh huh. If they can make me forget about the last two years of my life with Bruno." she told her best friend.

"Nay, I hate to break it to you, but you both decided to break up." Tamara said.

"Can't I just have a normal relationship like yours and Danny's?" Naomi asked watching Lily bring her a glass of wine.

"Naomi...he sucks. Whoever the guy is. He's not worth it." Lily told her.

"Ugh. It's not like I can just forget him. He's everywhere." she moaned laying her head on the edge of the bar. "Every...." she started to hear the jukebox that someone had started hearing Locked Out of Heaven. "Fucking everywhere. God damnit." she lifted her head up almost chugging her wine.

"Fuck him, Naomi." her friend, Grace came up behind her.

"Yeah. Fuck Bruno Mars. I mean, fuck Bruno Mars, but seriously." Becca tried not to laugh.

"They're right. He's a jerk." Lily answered them.

"Wait, why?" Naomi asked. "Now I just want to know why you have an opinion on him..." Naomi looked over Lily trying to figure her out. "When did you sleep with him?"

"Like early last year...like maybe right before you started coming in...." Lily told her.

"Oh. Yeah. Alright. Yeah. You're right. Fuck him. Thank you, Lily." Naomi stood up. "I think I'm over it. Let's go dance or karaoke or something." It wasn't until almost 2 in the morning that Naomi finally felt like it was time for her to go home She sat in the passenger seat of her car watching Tamara drive her car. "Thank you for putting up with me tonight. I promise I'm over it. Or at least the worst of it." she said yawning hearing the start of a Cristina Aguilera song. "Oh god. Are you serious?" she said starting to hum along to the song before she started softly singing the song to herself. "Turn the music up a little bit louder, just gotta get past the midnight hour. Maybe tomorrow it will be better...who am I kidding? I know what I'm missing...." she sniffed looking out the window as Tamara turned into Naomi's apartment complex. "Who am I kidding? I'm going to need daaaysss to get over this." she said sobbing as she started to get out of the car.

"Well, you gotta get over it because I think Joseph is sitting in front of your door right now..." Tamara told her.

"What? No...." she said wiping away her tears turning to see Joseph sitting on her steps wearing a dark black shirt and jeans standing up to meet her. Tamara walked a few steps behind her waving to Joseph who she had met very briefly earlier in the summer.

"Bruno would never have done this...." Naomi said hugging Joseph. "I'm sorry I'm really drunk. I just broke up with my boyfriend...." she said stepping away from him.

"It's okay. I'm going to take care of you." he said to her reaching for her keys to get into her apartment.

"It's kind of a fucking mess." she said watching him step onto a pile of clothes under the window by the door. "Be careful..." she giggled clutching onto his arm.

"Where's the light, Nay?" he asked.

"Right next to you. Flip it up." she told him watching his eyes adjust to the bright light. "There." she giggled again falling on the couch. "I can't believe you came....like the day I got back..."

"I got some studio time before I need to get back on tour so I figured why not come to see you, too?" he said going into her kitchen to see a pile of cliff bars and Ozarka water on the counter.

"Does the cliff bar make you puke?" he asked her.

"Why would it make me puke? I think I have some ..." she started.

"No you don't have anything else." he told her sitting down next to her handing her a cliff bar and the bottle of water.

"I don't know...." she started to talk to him. "Why put up with me right now?"

"To show you there's something better than him, Nay." he said kissing her cheek.
