For @eh-hockey Thanks for the amazing cover! :)
Your first day living in Dallas has not been going so well. Upon arriving at your new apartment, you realized that the pipes had bursted before you even moved in, and it was flooded. On top of that, you barely had enough money to stay in a motel for a couple of days before your apartment will be fixed.
After renting a room in a local motel, you decide to venture around the city and away from your gross motel room. Your stomach grumbles as you walk around, so you decide to stop by a bar for a cheap drink and some appetizers.
"What can I get for you?" The bartender asks.
"Can I have a beer and an order of fries?" You ask politely.
"Sure thing, take a seat anywhere you'd like." He tells you, then hands you your beer, and you take a seat in a booth towards the back.
As your fries are set at your table, the door opens and a couple of guys walk in, and are being pretty loud while doing it. Well, one of them is being loud, the other seems to be more mellow. You watch as they order drinks and take a seat at the booth next to you.
"I love a girl who can drink a beer and relax." You hear the rowdier one of the two guys say. You glance up and notice that both guys are staring at you. You blush and look back down at your hands. Suddenly, you feel the seat of the booth shift and you look up to see the louder one sitting in front of you.
"It's not polite to ignore people." He teases.
"Tyler, quit bugging her. She's obviously not interested." The other guy says as he makes his way over. You look at him with a grateful look, and he gives you a small smile. The loud guy, known as Tyler, looks between you and his friend and smirks.
"Okay," Tyler says, then chugs the rest of his beer and stands up, "See you later Jamie, and it was nice meeting you..." He trails off, waiting for you to introduce yourself.
"Y/N. And I can't exactly say it was a pleasure to meet you." You joke and Jamie laughs.
"See ya, Tyler."
Tyler leaves, and you say, "Would you like to join me? You don't come on as strong as your friend does." You tease.
Jamie grins, "Sure. Mind if I ask what you're doing hanging out by yourself?"
"I just moved here, so I don't really know anyone." You reply, and Jamie nods his head as if everything makes sense.
"Well that explains why I haven't seen you before, I would have remembered a pretty face like yours." He states, making you blush.
"You know, I don't really know my way around the city. Would you like to show me around?" You ask boldly. You don't know what it was, but something about this boy intrigued you.
His smile widens, "Okay, come on."
You ended up spending the whole day with Jamie, and you explained your whole situation with your apartment. He felt bad that you had to stay in a cheap motel, and he was almost afraid for your safety, so he walked you to your room.
"Thanks for showing me the city, I had a great time." You tell him, flashing him your pearly whites. He chuckles and leans in a little closer to you.
"It was my pleasure. Maybe you'd like to go out again tomorrow?" He asks.
Your faces are now inches apart and you answer, "It's a date." Jamie's eyes light up at the word 'date' and he closes the space between your lips. The kiss is soft and sweet and lasts about ten seconds before he pulls away.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow at ten. Bye, Y/N."
"Bye, Jamie." You step inside your motel room and laugh. Today went from being totally crappy, to totally amazing. You couldn't wait for tomorrow.
