"I still don't know why you wear so much make up." Your boyfriend Erik tells you as you apply more mascara. You just roll your eyes at him.
"I don't wear that much, plus I need to look good if we're going out in public." Today you were going with Erik to a charity event, and you wanted to look presentable, so you were stressing. And to top it off, you started your period.
"But you don't need it, you're beautiful without it." He tells you, pecking your cheek.
You sigh angrily, "Are you embarrassed with the amount of make up I wear? You always try to get me to put less on."
"What? No, I just don't think you need it, that's all."
"Well, I like wearing it, no matter if I look good without it or not. So, please stop trying to get me to take it off." You are beyond annoyed right now, thanks to your monthly gift. He sighs, annoyed as well.
"Whatever." He mutters, then leaves the bathroom, letting you get ready in peace.
After a couple of minutes, you begin to feel guilty for your outburst. You finish putting your makeup on, and go downstairs to see Erik sitting in the couch, waiting for you.
"Ready to go?" He asks, still not really looking at you, making it clear he's still hurt.
"Yes. I'm sorry for my mini outburst. I just started my period, and I'm terrible at controlling my emotions." You tell him, feeling tears fall from your eyes. Curse your hormones. He looks at you sympathetically.
"It's okay babe, I'm sorry for pestering you about your makeup. How about we buy a ton of chocolate after the event? Then we can cuddle and watch some movies together." He suggests, wiping away your tears and pulling you into his chest. You grin a little, finally in a good mood since starting your period.
"Thank you, that sounds perfect." You grab his hand and drag him out the door so you can finish the charity event and get home to munch on chocolate and cuddle with your boyfriend.
