Computer gaming can get compulsive and James is already in too deep. His girlfriend blames herself and to his parents James is already a lost cause. James enjoys the realism of his virtual fantasy world but the game is about to take a sharp turn.

ON HOLD As soon as I touched his skin, a shock went through my entire body because of how cold he was. My hand instantly jerked away as I gasped. When I averted my gaze up to Nikolai, his sea green irises has darkened. His rosy plump lips were parted, breathing in ragged breaths. I swear I saw veins starting to appear under his eyes, but he turned away so fast, I don't know what I saw. "Nikolai, you're so cold." I breathed, although I felt completely breathless. He took a deep breath before turning back to me. "Well don't touch me then." He snapped. I couldn't even feel hurt by his words, my nerves were still recovering from touching his hand. The shockwave that went through my body was like nothing I've ever felt. It was like ice and electricity at the same time, but it felt incredibly good as well. [Set in Romanian-type vampire (Vampire Academy) world] Liviah Swider, a dhampir, gets very upset at her father who turns himself half-strigoi and runs away from her (Private/Boarding) school St. Vincent Bay Academy, in Worchester, MA, (In an old abandoned state hospital, that was transformed into a vampire school – it is in an isolated area in the woods –) to search for him. Nikolai Kozlovsky, who later turns out to be her mentor/instructor/tutor finds her hiding out in Warwick, Rhode Island after her best friend, Claire Blackmore accidentally gives away her location, takes her back to the school. When she gets back she develops a crush on her best-guy-friend, Ethan White. When Liviah finds out he does not like her, she somehow uses compulsion to try to get Nikolai to hook up with her. Liviah finds out she is a half-dhampir/half-Moroi. Nikolai does not report her and the incident or what she is to anyone. Nikolai finds Liviah, Ethan and 3 college aged kids with her playing a drinking game. Liviah tests her luck with Nikolai, and decides to try to hook up with a royal, popular moroi boy, but nikolai does not let it happen. The college kids eventually find out she is ½ and ½ and take her hostage. How will she escape without anyone else finding out the truth about her and her father...and her secret love life.  Special thanks to @marciahfogg for the title help. Evelyn is 15 and she hates many things. Some of those things are; spiders, how thick her her hair is, and blood. She hates blood. So getting mixed with vampires who save her when she get's squeamish over blood, isn't the greatest thing that's happened to her.
