Random Stuff

Update

Hi everyone.

Yeah, as you can probably guess I'm back.

(Sorry, just couldn't resist it.)

Anyway, what have I done these past two and a bit weeks?

Have to say that it has definitely helped to get away for a bit and just focus on myself and real life.

I'm feeling a lot more relaxed and have actually managed to sort out my sleep issues. It has probably helped that Ireland has been slowly easing the restrictions, and I was able to enjoy some of the new normality. (I kinda feel that maybe the only good thing that comes out from this pandemic is that we're starting to appreciate again lots of stuff that we've taken for granted.) Got a haircut (first one in five months), went back to swimming (after four months of the pool being closed), was able to meet friends (that I hadn't seen in person for months) for a coffee etc.

On the other hand, we had to cancel our trip to Germany to see family. Flying and travelling abroad still isn't an option... but better be safe than sorry!

Also, I have seen MotM. It was good (the scenes of little Cole and his mum were heartbreaking), probably the best season of the Reboot. I really liked Vania, might use her in my books (I need more female side characters 😂), but I don't ship her with Cole (still prefer Coliel; also part of what I liked about Vania was that she had her own storyline and character development without being demoted to a love interest).

So, what about wattpad?

I have a designated email address just for FF and wattpad so I was able to ignore any notifications while away. Which means I'll have to lot of catching up to do - I know that The_lightning_ninja and EmphaKat have updated their amazing books (still need to read those new chapters though) but that's about it. If there are new books or other important updates, please let me know!

(I did get the information about the security breach so pretty much the first thing upon returning was to change my PW!).

I have done a bit of writing though. Finished the draft for the next chapter of LTNS (still needs some editing so might take another day or two before I can publish it) and even got a bit written of the chapter after that (I'm kinda excited for that one because it will have a new POV and gives some details for probably my favourite alternate season of this AU).

Also worked a bit on a new story idea. A show/movie hybrid (movie setting but with show characters), just 6-7 chapters of mostly Jaya. No idea if/when I will actually do it though, maybe I will just write the first chapter for my Pilots book.

I have to apologise to jessthegeek014 . As I wasn't on wattpad, I couldn't send you the material for TDG. I have compiled all completed chapters into one document (well over over 40K words...) and will send it to you in the next few days. Still need to write the summary of what I'd planned for the rest of the story, but this should get you started 😉!

It's only July, but I've already had a few people asking whether there would be another Secret Santa this year. I'm definitely not gonna organise it, but also had a couple of volunteers to take over. So if there's enough interest, I'll be more than happy to pass the torch. (It was a lot more work than I expected, so I'd definitely recommend doing it with a small team!)
