My (child) OCs / Lloyd's family

In order to write about Lloyd's children in my stories, one first has to talk about their mother... let's do this chronologically.

Even though she's never appeared in any of my stories, I initially had an OC as Lloyd's wife. Her name is Kate, she has short blonde hair. She's a student nurse who also works part-time at Skylor's noodle house. She first meets Lloyd at Kai and Skylor's wedding (as the only single bridesmaid and groomsman, they have to sit together and all), but nothing really happens there and then between them. It's not until about two years later that they meet again at the hospital; she's a fully qualified nurse working there and he's just waiting for one or more of his teammates, either someone is injured or having a baby.

Anyway, I never used her, because once I got to that point in my Next Gen storyline, there were rumours about Lloyd getting a girlfriend in the show, so I decided to wait (and this is why I've never written Kai and Skylor's wedding).

And yes, I liked Harumi at first, and I even still liked her when she turned out to be the Quiet One.

Because I was writing TOTGA and didn't want my story to get influenced too much by what was happening in the show, I didn't watch season 9 until very late last year (when I finished my book, the episodes on YT were gone, and Hunted didn't air on CNUK until November), so I didn't know all the details. But when I finally watched it... well, my opinion about her changed dramatically. I do not like her character at all anymore, I do not want her to have survived, and I certainly don't ship her and Lloyd anymore (at least not in anything canon-related).

But some of my stories already had that pairing - which is why I've pretty much stopped working on my Next Gen story (I might change the pairing at some point, it wouldn't take much.) and of course the Junkyard Princess.

In 'Call Me Nya', Lloyd has an unidentified girlfriend in the epilogue. This was written in spring 2018, so this was supposed to be Harumi back then. But as I never mentioned her name, the reader can actually choose whoever they like 😉.

When I started to work on Out of Time, I hadn't watched Hunted yet. But I knew that Harumi was a villain and that she died in season 9. So I asked my readers who they wanted to see as Lloyd's girlfriend. And almost everyone who replied said Harumi. In the end, I didn't include Lloyd or his girlfriend in that story. They were supposed to be at Chamille's party, but as Misako's part had gotten more important than initially planned, I just couldn't really fit in her son as Nya's classmate... but if I ever decide to write a bonus chapter for this story (as requestedby SandNinjaGS ), he will make an appearance. And I will respect the outcome of the poll.

But only almost everyone voted for Harumi. Amy4Walker sent me a wonderful OC. I didn't get to use her for Out of Time, but I liked her so much that, with Amy's permission, I made Katherine a very important character in my next book, which is Long Time No See. And yes, Lloyd and Katherine will end up as a couple here.

So, let's now move on to the kids. I only really have characters for Next Gen and LTNS, because Lloyd is a lot younger than the rest and has never gotten past the 'boyfriend/girlfriend' stage at the end of the other books.

In the Next Gen storyline (with Harumi as mother - at the moment! The characters were the same with Kate.) Lloyd's oldest child and next Green Ninja is a girl called Victoria (Tori). She is three years younger than Abby, has blonde hair and has green eyes. She is very ambitious, and hates being younger and less experienced than her teammates (because of his missed childhood, Lloyd doesn't want her to grow up too soon and doesn't let her train as much as she wants to). She's good friends with Zara and has an unrequited crush on Mattie.

Their second child is Montgomery (Monty) Wu Garmadon. Brown hair (like Misako) and brown eyes. Master of Wind (Morro died without an heir, but he had transferred his Element into Lloyd's body when he had possessed him). Best friends with Maya (they are about the same age, and they can cause a lot of trouble, especially when they use their powers together).

In LTNS, Lloyd and Katherine also have two children (they are my OCs but Amy has approved them), but they are completely different characters (I didn't want to use the other ones, simply because they have different mothers). Their first child is a boy called Thomas Jason (TJ, named for Katherine's older brother and her honorary big brother). He is about the same age as Robbie, has dark blonde hair and green eyes (I have a headcanon that there are dominant features, like the eye colour, associated with Elemental powers).

He has a younger sister, Koko. The next Master of Wind has brown hair and storm grey eyes. Koko and Maya are best friends.
