"Luck is a very thin wire between survival and disaster, and not many people can keep their balance on it."

I woke with a knock on the door. I stared at the ceiling for a long time before hearing another impatient knock, i sluggishly moved out of bed and to the door.
I opened it to Vin, he looked tired also, i glance at the clock.
"It's friggin five o clock in the morning... what do you want?" I asked, yawning.
He sighed. "It's not what i want... it's what she wants."
I had no idea what he meant, but he told me to follow him as went to the girls side of the dorms and we were soon in front of a door. I look at Vin, confused.
He started at the door, and spoke to whoever was inside.
"Alright, I brought him, now can you open up?" He said.
Now i remember. This is Rize's room. I haven't seen her since I put her in here after she bit me. She can talk clearer now? If she couldn't she wouldn't be able to ask for me.
"What does she want?" I asked.
Vin shrugged. "I don't know, but be careful. She might try to take another chunk outta ya. Bigger this time." He said.
I gulped, i had toughed it out last time, but if she really did try to eat me whole, then I would definitely defend myself. But from Vin's reaction to all this warning me and all, she's tough.
I grabbed the knob. "I'm coming in, Rize." I said.
I walk in and lose the door behind me. It's dark in the room, and warm, from the rest of the place. I only wore a t shirt and jeans, I was on the verge of sweating in there.
I use the wall to find the light switch, and once I do, I instantly flinch at what i saw.
Rize was sitting in a chair, looking the same as she did before, her red ghoulish eyes on me. I stare back, trying to throw away the feeling in my back of my mind to run.
"What did you want?" I asked.
She still stared at me. Why wasn't she talking? If she told Vin what to do, she should be able to talk. I take a cautious step forward. She flinches a little, causing me to stop.
Her mouth moves to form words, no sound comes out, but i know what she says by reading her lips.
"More."
I instantly take a step back. She really did want to take another chunk of me. No way am i letting her-
Suddenly i hear her stomach growl.
There's an awkward silence as i see her cheeks flare up pink. Wait, she could be embarrassed? But last time she didn't even know what to think...
I take a step forward.
"Your that hungry?" I said.
Rize's eyes flinched as i got closer, like a tiger stalking its prey. She looked like she was finally seeing me for the first time, sizing me up for a nice meal i bet.
I lean down next to her and grab a chair, sitting next to her. Then i sigh, leaning back in it.
"Your really creeping me out. Quit staring." I said.
She didn't look away, just kept staring at me. I get closer to her, then put my hand near her mouth, to my surprise, she doesn't react. Her eyes look at my hand, but her mouth doesn't bite.
Her nose sniffs my hand, getting a whiff of my scent. She then moved her hand, just a little bit, grabbing my hand softly. She looked a t me in the eyes and mouthed two words.
"Thank you."
Just after, she bit into my hand, i wanted to scream, but I held it in. I bit on my sleeve, being eaten by a girl this beautiful actually wasn't half bad- wait! what am I thinking?
She lets my hand regenerate, then eat the same part, about four time before stopping. I let out the breath I'd been holding and hold my hand, it still pulsed with pain.
Blood covered Rize's mouth, but I suddenly hear her speak.
"Your strong..." She said lazily.
It was as if she was drugged right after a dentist appointment. She smiled, which was different. I heard the door open and i flinch.
Vin smiles. "I knew it."
"W-what?" I said.
"I've been watching you and your little feast over there. I think that your blood is mending her mind." He said.
"Mending her mind?" I said as I look back at Rize, who is smiling at me.
"Notice each time she eats a bit of you, she gains some conscious? If you keep feeding her... she could end up normal again." He said with excitement.
"Whoa whoa! That means I'm on the menu every day!" I yelled. I like the fact that i can help her, but me being a human happy meal was not my idea of a good day.
Vin laughs. "Don't worry, you don't have to do it everyday."
I sigh, standing as we left. Right before I left the room, i looked back at Rize, still smiling at me. I mouth the words at her.
"Your welcome."
. . .
I walk into the med bay, and of course, Kurona is watching over he sister. I sit down also and we both look down at Nashiro, somewhere in my heart i feel as of i should try something to wake her, but what would I do?
It's been two hours then, us just staring her Nashiro. Suddenly, Kurona puts her head on my shoulder. I flinch and my face heats up, but when i look at her, she's asleep.
Falling asleep watching your loved one, it sounded like something from a fairy tale. I smile as i brush her hair from her eyes and close my eyes, pulling a blanket over mine and hers laps.
This is nice.
. . .
I wake up to Kurona shrieking. Which isn't normal, when i looked at her, she was flustered, her face pure red. Then i remember how we fell asleep and i blush also.
We sit there both blushing, then i break the ice by laughing.
"Why did ya scream?" I ask.
I acted as if i had no idea about her sleeping while leaning on me. She sighed from relief and looked down at her sister. I wonder if her sister is anything like her.
"Your strange." She says, still facing her sister.
I smile. "So are you."
"But your an important part of Nest." She said.
I blush a bit, scratching my head.
"Thanks." i mumble.
Vin walked in, coughing up a storm. He sniffed up some snot and swore under his breath.
"Damn, i think i have a cold." He mumbled.
He notices me and points at me. "In the monitor room, asap! We're discussing some plans."
"What plans?" I asked.
He smiled.
"Plans to buzz off Aogiri, that's what."
