Queen Isabella

May 5th, 1542

Two days. Two days of pain and agony.

"Please. Please, I cannot do this any longer." I whispered to the physician who sent me a worried smile.

"Let us just check once more. His Majesty wishes to be updated hourly on your health." He said and I let out a cry as I threw my head back and allowed the physician to peek under my skirt.

"I see the head! You can push soon, Your Majesty!" He cried out and I felt my heart swell.

"Go update my husband," I ordered the nurse who bowed her head and rushed out of the room. Greer and Lola propped my legs up and Aylee sat beside me and wiped the sweat from my eyes.

"I do not know if I could push. I am so tired." I whispered and Aylee shushed me as she wiped the sweat again.

"Shh, save the energy for when you push."

" Herre, jeg indrømmer, at jeg kan gøre dette gennem dig. Det er dig, der giver mig styrke." (Lord, I confess I can do this through You. It is You who gives me strength.) I whispered as the physician came back into the room.

"Are you ready to push?"

"I just want this over with," I said and he sent me a weak smile before nodding.

"On my count." He said before he counted down from three and I pushed myself up softly and pushed as hard as I could.

"Rest! The head came out a little." He ordered and I let out a breath and I tried to find air.

"The window! Open the window!" Lola cried out to a nurse who shoved the window opened so fast I believed she would have fallen out.

When I was told to push again I gripped my sheets and let out a cry.

"Why? Why will the child not come?" I cried out once I stopped pushing.

"The head is out! Oh so much hair, Your Majesty!" The physician told me and I held back a growl.

"Jeg stoler på dig, min herre." (I put my trust in you, my lord.) I heard Greer whispered and I saw as she was holding her prayer beads.

"I feel like I need to push," I said and the physician nodded and I pushed as hard as I could.

"Oh good lord! She's bleeding!" I heard Kenna say and I let out a cry as I pushed again.

I felt my head fall back as I felt my eyes close.

"Open your bloody eyes!" I heard Greer yell and my eyes snapped out.

"Is it here?" I whispered but Greer shook her head as she pressed her hand against my back.

"One more push! One more and the babe will be here!" She said and I sighed softly before I let out a cry and pushed as hard as I could.

I let out a loud scream and soon a tiny cried filled the air.

"You have done it, Bella! You have given birth to another son!" Greer said and I sent her a weak smile before Aylee helped stuff pillows behind me to help me sit up better.

I closed my eyes for a moment and felt them as they lowered my legs and covered with a light cover.

"Is he alright?" I asked as I fought my hardest to keep my eyes opened. Once I made sure my eyes were wide open I looked to see Greer holding my son.

"Bella look. He is looking for you." She said and I tried my hardest to hold my arms out and Greer lowered my son into my arms.

I racked my eyes over my son and smiled

I racked my eyes over my son and smiled. I have done it again. I have given birth to another son for Henry but I felt a pain in my chest that I did not have a daughter for Norway to have a Queen.

"Bella?" I heard Aylee say and I blinked softly before looking down at my son.

"Hello, little one. I am so happy you are here." I whispered as I let my finger trail over his cheek and he cooed softly.

"What to name you? You have a brother named Edward and Christian already. And three wonderful sisters named Mary, Elizabeth, and Amelia." I whispered as I fought my hardest to keep my eyes open.

"Bella! Bella, what is it?"

"I am so tired. I can't seem to keep my eyes opened." I said as my son began crying and Aylee swooped down and took him out of my arms.

"No! Where are you taking him?" I called out as I tried to reach for her but I couldn't.

"We need to clean him, Bella. Aylee will be back soon with him." Greer told me as I felt myself fall back into the pillows.

"Henry. I need Henry." I whispered as my eyes have begun to droop down.

"I have just sent Lola to go get him and tell the news along with the children. They will be so happy to know you are alright." Greer said and for some reason, I felt as if her voice was slipping away.

"Tell my children." I began as my eyes blurred over and I let out a gasp.

"Please, Bella! Hold on! I can hear Henry running to come here!" Greer said but I let out a sigh as I felt more relaxed.

"Tell my children. Tell them their mother loves them so much." I whispered before everything fell black and I couldn't hear anything anymore.

Just as Cathrine Brandon had said. My son would survive the birth but as she also stated I would most likely not survive the birth and I would leave my children motherless.

"Henry.."
