Queen Isabella

March 21st, 1541

I held onto Henry's arm as we walked into the banquet hall. As we walked past everyone, they all fell to their knees bowing.

Once we got to our thrones everyone rose and I looked up and saw Henry nodding at me.

"Henry and I thank you all for the warm welcome home. It truly feels peaceful to be here in England. I thank those who have sent letters and mourned with our family because of the murder of our son." I began as I stepped forward.

"Those weeks at sea I prayed and sobbed wondering why my pour baby. But I shall mourn no more. Your King and Queen still run strong and our countries are stronger than every. So tonight we celebrate our return after being away for so long. But we also celebrate the life of Prince Arthur, Duke of Cambridge." I finished as I held my goblet up.

Everyone followed me before we all cheered. Once I took a sip of my drink I sat down next to Henry as our food was brought out.

"No children tonight?" Charles asked and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"No, the twins are still adjusting to not being in Norway any longer and Elizabeth is with Mary helping with baby Catherine," I explained and Henry chuckled.

"And Edward is right there trying to sneak in." He said and I looked towards the banquet doors and saw Edward speaking with Bash.

"Edward," I called out and Bash gave Edward a look before my blonde little prince walked towards Henry and I. He stood in front of our table and bowed lowly before standing up.

"Why are you not in your chambers asleep?" Henry asked with a soft smile on his face.

"I had to make sure momma was alright," Edward whispered and I looked at him frowning.

"Edward, I am perfectly alright. How did you convince Bash to bring you here?" I asked as I stood up and bent down in front of him.

"He found me sneaking out of my rooms," Edward explained and I turned to Henry who smirked softly.

"Listen to me, I am alright. Momma was just sad for a while. How about tomorrow we all be in the courtyard and I can teach you how to shoot a bow and arrow." I offered and Edward grinned.

"Am I old enough?"

"Of course you. My love you are the Prince of Wales and one day you will be King. You must learn how to yield these weapons so if you ever go into battle nothing will stop you." I said before I kissed his forehead.

"Now, Lady Kenna is by the doors. Tell her I said to take you back to your chambers and yell at your maids for letting you leave." I ordered as I stood up. Edward bowed his head one more time before rushing towards Kenna.

I watched as Kenna scooped Edward into her arms before she led him out and I turned to Henry who was now standing beside me and holding his hand out.

I gladly took his hand as he led me onto the dancefloor.

The music began and we bowed our heads to one another before Henry wrapped his arms around me and we began waltzing around the dancefloor.

"You speak to Edward with such calmness, I do not understand how you do it," Henry whispered as he dipped me softly.

"Sometimes parents must lie to the children so they can feel a slight sense of peace," I responded and I leaned in and kissed him softly.

Henry held me close to him before we broke apart and the music stopped.

"How are you truly?" He whispered as the people around us began dancing again.

"I have mourned the loss of my baby. Maybe we rushed too quickly after I nearly died having the twins. I want to enjoy being with you without being pregnant." I stated and Henry chuckled.

"Norway still needs an heir, my sweetheart," Henry said as he held my hand and guided me towards the balcony.

"And one day I will give them an heir. If not Amelia will be a wonderful Queen to both Denmark and Norway." I said as we stepped outside and the cool air hit me.

"The twin's ball is soon," I whispered and Henry chuckled.

"Cannot believe our little monsters will be one year old."

"Neither can I. I have invited the new King and Queen of France along with the King and Queen of Scotland," I said and Henry raised an eyebrow.

"My nephew will be coming?" He asked and I smiled softly as I looked towards the night sky.

"Family means everything, Henry. Bash's sister, Elisa, might come as well." I commented and Henry snorted.

"Wonderful. More Dutch to annoy me." He said and I flicked him earning him to chuckle as he pulled me into his arms.

"How about we leave now and I can make it up to you for inviting all of these people?" I whispered as I kissed his neck.

"If you keep kissing my neck like that we might have to cancel our morning meetings." Henry groaned and I felt my knees grow weak hearing him.

"We can do that later, let us go to our chambers." I said as I grabbed his hand. Henry stared at me for a moment and I watched as his eyes darkened.

"Yes, to the chambers we shall go."
