Queen Isabella

I groaned as Greer opened the curtains in my room. I sat up and saw Elizabeth was with her.

"We leave for your birth home tonight correct?" She asked as I threw the covers off me and stood up.

"Yes, everything is packed we leave tonight," I said as she helped Greer bring over my outfit.

"Three weeks flew by. But I know you are happy to go home." Greer said with a smile as she helped me dress and Elizabeth placed my shoes on.

"I haven't been to Denmark in now two months," I stated as Greer placed the crown on my head and handed me my earrings.

"Will I like Denmark better than Norway?" Elizabeth asked as she sat in front of my mirror.

"You will

"You will. You are going to be tutored a little by my tutors." I said as I walked over and placed the necklace on her.

"There. Like a true princess." I said as I patted her shoulders.

"What shall we do today?" Elizabeth asked and I smiled.

"Handle some business here before we leave Norway," I said and she raised an eyebrow at me confused.

"Why?"

"Because I am their Queen. One day you'll have to do this." I said as I put my earrings off.

"Let us go. We have to meet with the new lady." Greer said with a raised eyebrow.

"Be nice. You do wonderful work. We just need more people around here." I said before my door opened and we began to make our way down to the throne room where this new woman would be meeting with us.

"Her Royal Highness, Queen Isabella of Denmark and Norway. Lady Elizabeth Tudor and the Duchess of Telemark." The announcer yelled earning everyone to bow as the three of us made our way to my throne.

"Stand. Mistress Lola, please step forward" I said as the Duke of Finnmark handed me the royal sword. I watched a woman with dark brown hard step forward. She was pretty and if Henry ever saw her. I knew what to do.

"Your Majesty

"Your Majesty." She said as she bowed to me.

"Mistress Lola I know named you Lady Lola of Bergen," I said as I lifted the sword from her right side to her left. When I went to do it again I smiled as the sword cut her chest softly.

"You begin today following us around," Greer said before I handed the sword back and sat down.

"Your Majesty you have business to attend to." Lord James said and I frowned.

"Such as?"

"The rebels in Bodo. They have gotten out of hand and always took the church hostage." Lord Richards said.

"Bodo is a small town. I would send thirty to forty guards to handle them." I said earning Lord Richards to bow before heading out the room.

"Next?" I asked as Elizabeth sat in the small throne next to me.

"You used to do that with your mother. When problems occurred you calmed her." The Duke of Finnmark said.

"My mother did horrible things. I don't wish to speak about her." I said before Elizabeth grabbed my hand.

"The other matter is your safety to Denmark. These rebels know you are leaving."

"Good thing we all know how to defend ourselves on that boat. Duke Roman, we shall be fine. You are all dismissed." I said before I stood up and brushed my skirt off and smiled at Elizabeth.

"Did you have to cut her?" She asked as she wrapped her arm around mine as we began making our way to the front of the castle.

"It was for her own good. If I go to your father I can't have her. He would pursue her." I explained before we were handed the coins of money.

"What are we doing?" Elizabeth asked as the gates opened and the trumpets began playing.

"We are to give money to these people," I said as we started to walk the dirt road smiling at people. I waved slightly to some the children.

"Your Majesty." A voice said and I turned to see an older woman holding an infant.

"Yes?"

"I am an old woman. Dying soon. My son's wife died during childbirth and I can't raise him. I know orphaned children work in the castle but I don't want him to suffer when I die." The woman said and when I opened my mouth Greer stepped forward.

"I'll take him if Her Majesty lets me." She said and I nodded smiling.

"Of course you can. Does he have a name?" I asked the old women placed the small boy into Greer's arms.

"No, he is only a week and I still haven't named him." She said before she coughed. I pulled Elizabeth back some before Greer smiled at the little boy.

"He shall be named Nicholas Norwood. That shall be his name." She said and I smiled before waving a guard over.

"Take this woman to the doctor's wing. When she does die give her a noble burial." I ordered and the guard nodded before bringing the woman towards the castle.

"Come Greer. We have a child to care for now." I said as Elizabeth held my hand and we began to make our way back to the castle.

"Why did you let her have the baby?" Elizabeth asked making me smile.

"Because all Greer every wanted was to have children. This is her chance." I said as the gates opened and we made our way inside the castle.

"Lady Lola go help Duchess Greer prepare for the ship. We leave at eleven tonight." I ordered. Lola bowed her head and rushed to follow Greer.

"Is she your lady?" Elizabeth asked and I shook my head.

"No, she's now Greer's nurse for Nicholas," I said as we walked into the kitchen.

"Now let's steal some cookies," I said with a laugh.
