"You're hiding something, aren't you?"

"That's um..." Wataru had no idea how to respond. He knew that this boy was an upperclassman. He hadn't been here long, but he was famous for carrying their school's soccer team to victory in the recent exhibition matches.

The light blonde heaved a sigh before nodding to himself. "Make it easy for yourself and tell me what. If it's something important, I could help you out."

The brunette blinked at that. "What do you mean by 'something important'?"

He crossed his arms. "I know about Seekers, the World Sabers, Eva-san, and everything. If you have something that could be helpful, I want in on it."

It took a moment before his words finally processed. "Oh, that's... Asta-senpai, I'm not the one you should go to for that..."

"...What."

"You're right, I was involved in that, but not by much. Most of the time, I don't really know what's going on." He scratched the back of his head. "And now, my parents wouldn't let me get involved with anything relating to the school..."

"Then why were you acting so weird earlier? You never skipped a chance to battle."

"I just had something to do."

"Don't give me that crap. LBX-addicts like you don't stop for anything unless it's world-threatening." Asta sighed. "If it's not stuff that has to do with the current crisis, then what is it?"

"Well, it's... family stuff..."

"Your sister's Kenbishi Hannah, right? She was in my class before you two transferred to Kamui." He answered the unasked question. "Is this 'family stuff' really the only thing you're looking into?"

"It is. So um... Can I go now?"

The light blonde looked up and spotted the brunette's house before smirking. "Alright. On one condition. You let me in on all this."

"W... Wha...?!"

~~~~~
"Honestly, I was hoping that you wouldn't come."
Muraku raised an eyebrow at this. "Why?"
"If you didn't come ten minutes after the specified time, I would've left and neither of us had to do this." Hannah sighed. "But you're here, and early, so I guess this really is happening."
"It's only a talk, Hannah."
"Oh, that's what he said this was to you?" She blinked. "Well, if that's the case, then I guess I don't mind."
"Did he say something different to you?"
"You could say that."
They had no more than light snacks. The time of the meeting was quite late, and so the cafe was nearly deserted. As soon as they were done, they paid and went on their way.
Even though the main point was to talk, neither had said a word since they ate. They continued to walk around town in silence until finally reaching the beach. Stepping on to the sand, they waited for whoever would talk first.
"..."
"..."
We're not getting anywhere with this. They both sighed.
They turned to each other awkwardly before Hannah sighed. "Rock, paper, scissors?"
"What?"
"The one who lose talks first."
That sounds fair. "Alright."
They raised their hand up and brought them down.
"Guess I'll start then." The brunette let out another sigh. "Wataru says he's doing well. So are mom and dad... Well, his mom and dad are. He's just starting to investigate today. He'll probably call me again by the end of the week. I shouldn't be worried, but..." Her hand went to the back of her neck. "I don't know. I know I set him up for this, but I don't want to get him in trouble."
He opened his mouth to comment, but she cut in. "Then there's my parents to question about. My gandparents always told me that they've raised me all my life because my parents wanted me to study abroad. More languages, more culture, all that. They always said that they cared about me and that they want the best for me, but..." She clicked her tongue. "When they died, I had to move to Japan, and the first thing I got was rejection and ignorance. But Wataru was so accepting of me that I decided to stay."
"Your grandparents didn't tell you anything..." He muttered.
"No, but I didn't suspect anything either. Wataru and I have the same eyes, hair colour, and face shape. I'm absolutely convinced we're related, if not as his sister, then maybe his cousin? So one of his parents should have a sibling." She hummed in thought. "Maybe it's his mom. Since she's the one who rejects me the most, and our grandparents are his mom's parents."
"That could be the case." Muraku took a peek of her expression before gazing back out to sea. "I'm sure Wataru will do well. He always had."
She smiled at that. "I know. I trust him." Her expression fell. "You've told me about your sister already. You don't have to continue if you don't want to."
He shook his head. "It's fine. I think I'll need to talk about this to someone eventually."
"And you want that someone to be me?" She didn't know whether this was a good thing or...
A small smile appeared. "There's no one else I'd rather have."
~~~~~

"Well, well... What do we have here?"

"You're-?!"

"It's been a long time, child. I don't suppose toys are allowed in this area?"

"What?"

A snap was heard and the glasses flew from her face and into his hand. "This is your brother's correct? What a shame that he had to die a second time."

"No! Give it back!"

"Don't worry, young one. You wouldn't need it once we've reached the next stage."
