i personally can put aside ships. i mean, yeah, they are cool, but they can be potentially extremely toxic. but one of the things i dislike most about the rwby fandom is how they destroyed adam. he could have had a great redemption. he could have had a great origin story too. like, adam could have been killed at his time in atlas then resurrected and corrupted by salem. instead rooster teeth made him a useless villain who seemed to only be killed for the (forced) development between yang and blake. he could have had a really cool downfall or development like felix from red vs blue or azula from avatar the last airbender. or, he could have been gradually redeemed throughout the series. i mean, the gang sure could have used him. he's powerful, but rooster teeth just wasted time and budget like they did with cinder.
