No amount of flashbacks could make me dislike Ozpin. It wasn't his fault! It was the gods fault! Not his! Besides, he was probably heartbroken when he realized that Salem had really turned bad and that his children (probably) died! Ozpin is a great character too, and it's clear that he really loved Salem and just wanted to help humanity, but that clearly didn't go as planned.
