Preference #72

This was the first, "I love you", and who said it.

MacCready
He said it first. You were spooning, and he was the big spoon. It was a little after midnight and you two had been drinking and talking all night. He kissed the back of your neck sweetly and muttered it so you could hardly hear him.

Hancock
He said it first. You two got out of a sticky situation with some Gunners, and you made a joke about how bad their shooting was. You made the joke, he spurted out an, "I love you," and got back in the battle.

Nick
You said it first. He had recently wrapped up a difficult case involving a re-appearing nut with sunglasses, and was tired. You confessed your feelings to him while he sat back with his eyes closed. When you said you loved him, he was suddenly completely awake, and told you that he felt the same way.

Deacon
You said it first. When you did, Deacon laughed and jokingly said it back. You said you were serious, and he looked at you over the rim of his sunglasses to see if your eyes were telling the truth.

X6-88
He said it first. It caught you off guard, and you dropped a vial of harmless chemicals, shattering it over the floor. X6-88 said that he was understanding his feelings, and that they told him that he loved you. You thought he was lying for three weeks until you realized he wasn't going anywhere.

Preston
He said it first. You gave a speech to his men about loyalty, and afterwards, he pulled you into a tight hug, and said that you saved his life, and that he loved you for it.

Sturges
He said it first. You two had been hiding each other's stuff for a while, and he caught you standing on Preston's roof with his wrench at 3 A.M. He asked what the hell you were doing, before laughing, then saying he loved you and that you needed to go to bed.

Gage
You said it first. Gage wasn't good with talking about mushy stuff, and suggested that you two slap each others hands until one of you bleeds. You laughed and told him you loved him before holding him in a game of Bloody Knuckles.

Travis
You said it first. When you did, he teared up and pulled you into a tight hug. It stole your breath, and he buried his face in your neck and told you that he loved you too.

Danse
You said it first. When you did, he looked at you with the most heartfelt look you'd ever seen. He said that no one had ever said that to him, and it broke your heart a little before he said it back and kissed you.

Maxson
You said it first. Maxson felt the love before you did, but he felt like if he said it, you would've thought differently of him. He was all about your relationship moving at the speed you wanted it to.

Codsworth
You said it first. When you said it, something clicked within him, and made him realize that what he felt towards you was, in fact, love.

Butch
He said it first. You were sitting on the couch upside down, and turned the radio across from you, also upside down, to see if the music would play backwards. He watched you before muttering, "Holy fuck, I love you." You didn't hear him.

Gob
He said it first. You were both cuddled up on the couch together, and you were laying on his chest, examining his eyes. He was doing the same to you before telling you that you had pretty eyes, and that he loved you.

Charon
You said it first. He admitted his feelings to you first, but you were the first one to specifically say those words. He just blushed and kissed you before going back to what he was doing.

Arcade
You said it first. He was hunched over his workbench, and you were admiring his rear before getting bored and throwing a clipboard at him. It smacked him in the calf, and clattered to the ground pitifully. He got fed up and asked what you wanted. You said you just wanted to tell him that you loved him. That made it difficult for him to focus on his work after that.

Boone
You said it first. He just hummed in response, but you knew he just wasn't good at showing what he felt.

Raul
He said it first. He brought you a nice flower, and said it was as beautiful as you, and hat he loved you. You blushed like a dork and didn't know what to say for about five minute straight.

Benny
He said it first. Benny falls in love easily, and was constantly telling you he loved you before you finally said it back. He was ecstatic and pulled you into a kiss.

Swank
He said it first. You two had a series of one night stands and deep conversations, but still weren't in a relationship. You both realized it at the same time, but he was the first to speak about it.

Dean
He said it first. He had his legs crossed and he was flipping through a magazine when he said, "I love you, you know." You looked at him blushing, and he just looked at you over the top of his magazine curiously.

Yes Man
You said it first. When you said it, he buried his face in his hands and just leaned towards you. You encased your arms around him and stayed like that for a long time.

Victor
You said it first. He knew that he loved being with you, and that you made him happy, but he didn't really understand the raw emotion of love until you said those three words to him.

Ten of Spades
He said it first, and had butterflies in is stomach the whole time, despite you two already being together. He said it really quietly, and you said it back with a smile, catching him off guard and making him blush.

Vulpes
He said it first. He didn't say it as a statement, but as a question. He was mentioning his feelings, and you put them into words. He just nodded and got back to fixing up his weapon.

Joshua
He said it first. That made it much more important. Joshua had never truly loved anyone before, and never said those words to anyone besides family and friends. Meeting you gave the phrase a new meaning.

Follows-Chalk
You said it. He felt it first, but wasn't sure how to express it. You confessed your feelings, and he said he felt the same way for quite some time.

Ulysses
You said it first, but Ulysses showed it first. He said that words were a small step but that actions were larger, which you understood.

Dr. O
He said it first. It was when you two had just woken up, and he hugged you, and said it barely above a whisper.

Dr. Klein
You said it. You two had been together for a while, and you were sitting on his desk. You said it, and he fumbled with his clipboard and dropped it, blushing like crazy.

Dr. Mobius
He said it first. He was talking about something, and you just hugged him on the couch gently, and he sighed and said that he loves you.
