Fallout X Reader Preferences

Preference #67

This is how they react to having to heal from a wound. In this case it's a bullet wound to the ribs.

MacCready
When MacCready woke up, he sucked in a large breath and immediately began to worry about where you were, and made sure that you were okay. It took a while to calm him down and tell him that you were fine, but he was just happy that you were safe.

Hancock
Hancock hated having to lay around in bed all day. He said the only times you should be in a bed, is when you're sleeping, or fucking. He was doing neither of those, and sat with crossed arms and a huffy attitude until he got better.

Nick
The bullet messed up some of his wires, but Sturges and Tinker Tom worked together to get him back in shape. He had no pain or anything, and when he woke up, he was just like he had been before, but with a better shielded abdomen.

Deacon
Deacon kept making jokes about it. He'd say how he always knew he had a 'shot' with you, and how you fill the 'hole' in his heart. They were all awful jokes, to make matters worse. You were stuck having to listen to him until he got better.

X6-88
X6-88 had to be taken out of battle and relayed back to the Institute. You finished the work yourself, and it took longer, but, when you got home, he was upset because he didn't want you fighting without him by your side, and he didn't know that a bullet could take that much out of him. Literally.

Preston
When Preston woke up, he pulled you into a hug. Unfortunately, he sat up wrong, and the wound opened again, staining his new, clean shirt in blood, and making the doctor scold him and sew him up again.

Sturges
Sturges, when he woke up, wouldn't stop thanking the doctor, who eventually got annoyed and left. Sturges then began to say that fixing humans was harder than fixing machines, and that the Commonwealth would forever be in need of doctors.

Gage
Gage looked at the bullet hole, said, "Fuck," and finished the battle. He got it taken care of later, but, since he delayed it so much, it got infected, and he ended up getting seriously sick before starting to recover. It was because the rust from his armor somehow reached the bullet hole.

Travis
Travis got really pessimistic, and told you he loved you like he was going to die. He was already on the recovery path, so you just laughed and told him that he was fine over and over again until he believed you.

Danse
Danse hated it. He said he was fine way way before he really was, and was too anxious to get moving again. He said that he was wasting time, and you insisted that he lay back down, because his health was more important than talking shit to ghouls. He pouted.

Maxson
He had you be his messenger. While he lay in bed all day, he told you something, and you relayed it to whomever. He'd give you a little note to give to Danse or a few index cards to give to Ingram.

Codsworth
It really took a lot out of him. He was more subject to pain, and his healing took longer than average. He was very sweet, and very tired, 90% of the time. The other 10%, he was asleep.

Butch
Butch took it for granted. He used it as an advantage, and acted like a little bitch. He had a bell that he'd ring, and you'd go to him and he'd just ask for attention or a cup of water. He loved being pampered.

Gob
Every time he asked for something he couldn't get himself, he felt bad. He felt like you thought that he was using you as his own personal room service, and he was always thanking you and apologizing for being a burden. You just kissed him and said it was no big deal.

Charon
Charon was antsy. He said that the moment he got better, you guys were going to be on the move again, because he hated being somewhere for more than a week. It made him paranoid, and he was anxious to get out of there as soon as possible.

Arcade
Arcade took care of it himself. He stuffed a tampon in it until you two got back to camp, then he removed the bullet and had sewn himself up. Your jaw was practically on the floor as you watched him do it all in a total of five minutes. You helped a little here and there, but you were deeply impressed with it.

Boone
Boone just muttered stuff here and there. Mostly, "I can snipe them from here, gimme my gun." He wanted to get up and get back to ordinary business because he didn't like being babied.

Raul
He started talking about his will and decided to be a dramatic little bitch. It was funny to you, and you told him that he'd be perfectly fine after a while.

Benny
Benny said that you were in charge of the Tops until he got better. He was amazed that he had lived, and showed an amount of thanks that you didn't know he had in him. Since he was well loved around the Strip, people would stop by and wish him well and keep him company here and there.

Swank
When he was healing, Benny kept asking when he could work again. It sparked a fight between you and Benny, because he only wanted Swank to work so he could disappear. Swank kept his mouth shut, but was on your side.

Dean
Dean was mad because the bullet punctured a lung so he couldn't sing for a very very long time. He complained about it a lot, but you didn't blame him.

Yes Man
He was, of course, optimistic. He was saying, "At least I lived," and, "Good thing I didn't get shot twice," and, "We got a free bullet," and other stuff like that. It made you smile.

Victor
Victor panicked, but surprisingly knew what to do. He ripped off his sleeve and bandaged the wound with it until you guys could get to Doc Mitchell, who patched him up for free.

Ten of Spades
He felt sort of helpless, and like he was wasting people's time. He wanted to get back to work as soon as possible because a soldier who's laying around all day, isn't a soldier at all, in his book.

Vulpes
He got all pissy. He scolded his small squadron for not watching his back (since he was shot from behind). They all took the heat and moved on, so after releasing steam, he just sat in bed reading all day until he recovered.

Joshua
He was in no rush to get better. He said things are done better when one is patient, so he stayed in bed a whole day after he decided he was completely healed. He had nothing better to do anyways.

Follows-Chalk
He was very confused. He got shot, and didn't notice for a few minutes until he started to get lightheaded, then he asked you to politely help him.

Ulysses
Ulysses didn't really care. He was surprised that he'd been hit at all, since there wasn't any real humans in the Divide. You took care of the person, and immediately got him to shelter. He just sat there quietly acting like he was gonna die a week after he was healed.

Dr. O
He didn't notice until he lost a bunch of blood, then said, "Aw, beans," and passed out from the sight and smell of his own blood.

Dr. Klein
He was mad at the person who accidentally shot him, and scolded them as he patched himself up, smacking their hands when they tried to help.

Dr. Mobius
He got shot, panicked, and stuffed numerous pills into the wound because he didn't know what to do. This made him extremely sick, and Klein rolled his eyes before fixing him.
