Chapter 24 - Operation Rufflout

Hiccup's POV:

Wow, yesterday was amazing. Best birthday ever. I slept like a rock. I wake up with Astrid down stairs on the couch snoozing away. I shook her gently to wake her up.

"Hey." I said softly as she opened her eyes.

"Ha?! Oh yeah... I forgot I ended up staying at your place. Your mum let me stay so I wouldn't wake up my parents at home. Hope you don't mind." She responded stretching her arms.

"Not at all, you wanna go eat at the great hall?" I asked helping her stand up.

"Sure." She answered. We walked to the hall where I see the gang sitting at the table.

"Hi guys." I greeted them.

"Hi Hiccup." Few responded as Snotlout stood up.

"Goodbye." He said leaving.

"Where are you going?" Astrid asked.

"To um..... clean Hookfang." He answered walking away.

"You know I should probably go too. You know, got things to do sights to see." Ruffnut said leaving as well. Tuffnut was going to leave with her when I mouthed the words 'stay' to him.

"What's up with them?" Eret asked biting into some chicken.

"Oh I have A LOT to tell you guys!" I said sitting down.

"What what's the big news?" Fishlegs asked me.

"Well..." I began only to be cut off by Tuffnut.

"What, is Snotlout and my sister dating? Hahahah, now that would be news." He said leaning back on his chair.

"Well actually...yeah." I answered as he sat up stiff and just stared at me with wide eyes.

"You know I was kidding right?" He said looking at the others.

"No seriously guys I think they are. When we were watching the sun set yesterday I saw them holding hands."

"YES! Finally no more Ruffnut in my face 24/7!" Yelled Eret. We all just stared at him with a sarcastic look.

"Well we can't know for sure."Astrid stated.

"Well I know for sure." I answered.

"We all should catch them out so we ALL know it for sure!" Astrid suggested.

"Haha, who's in. I so want to spy on my sister." Tuff said putting his hand in the middle of the table waiting for us to join in.

"Me!" Astrid said putting her hand on top of Tuffs. Followed by Fishlegs and Eret.

"Seriously guys?" I said sarcastically. "Fine!" I put my hand in and we all pulled away and plotted a plan. We walked out the hall where we see Hookfang sitting there.

"Ha I knew it! See if Snotlout isn't washing Hookfang then where else could he be?" I said proving my point to them.

"Shhhh, did you hear that?" Astrid asked as we all looked into the forest beside us. "Follow me."

Astrid then called for Stormfly and she grabbed her in her claws and flew over the forest. We all copied calling our dragons. Suddenly Stormfly dropped Astrid in a tree and the rest of our dragons dropped us in the ones around her.

"OH MY THOR!" Tuffnut yelled looking below him.

"SHHHHHHH!" We all loudly whispered back. Tuffnut pointed down where we see Ruff walking below us. Then out of the blue Snotlout runs from the other direction grabbing her and spinning her around. They then fell into a kiss and I couldn't stop my words from escaping me.

"I KNEW IT!" I shouted then covering my mouth with my hand. It didn't matter though because then everyone started laughing loudly and Tuff fell out of the tree landing face first into the lowest branch to the ground.

"TUFFNUT!" Ruff and Snotlout yelled at the same time quickly pulling away from each other. Tuff continued to laugh and fell off the tree onto the floor. They both then looked up to see the rest of us in the trees above.

"HICCUP! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!" Snotlout yelled at me from below knowing I told them. We all laughed loudly until Ruff started laughing aswell. She fell to the floor laughing with Tuff while Snotlout just stood there blushing like a mad man. We climbed down where I was shot a death glare from Snotlout.

"So you all know now." He said covering his face with his hands.

"Yep! And boy was it fun to spy on you." Tuff said still laughing his head off.

"No hard feeling Fishlegs?" Snotlout said turning to him.

"Oh please, none at all. Now I can have Heather." He responded.

"Seriously, Heather." I said looking at him.

"WHAT?!" He responded.

"You guys still have to let me win the dragon games coming up though. Just because you know you can't win me over doesn't mean you have to stop throwing me the sheep." Ruff said boasting.

"Mmmmm, we'll see." Fishlegs said putting on a frown.

"Oh and Eret...." Ruff began to speak.

"No, no. You go ahead. Leave me out of it." He said happily.
