Matthew's POV

It is a gorgeous Saturday morning, the morning of Payton's baby shower to be exact. She was so excited it was adorable to watch. Last night she couldn't even fall asleep she was so excited. Both of our parents were in town, and Denise and Tori planned the shower for Payton. The shower is this afternoon at our home in Palo Alto. I laid in bed admiring the beautiful mother to be of my children as she slept (finally).  She was 8 months in bordering 9  (38 weeks in ) and she was loving it. I read a bunch of articles on pregnancy and stuff and from what I read, it seemed like Pay was handling it very well. I stroked her back in an attempt to wake her for the shower. It was 8:50 am and the shower started at 2. I wanted to treat her to a nice lunch before we went and I figured we should leave for the house relatively early to try and beat traffic.  " mama.." i said softly rubbing her back. She snuggled her pregnancy pillow even tighter. " leave me alone" she said whining. I smirked. " come on I know you're excited about today" i teased. I think she woke up because she started getting up to try and face me. Poor mama her belly was so big, even rolling over to face me was a challenge. I grinned as she finally was able to face me. She brought the pillow with her and laid her head down on it. I smiled at her and she smirked. " that damn pillow is taking all my cuddles" I said, stroking her head. " you don't need cuddles you're grown" she said snickering. Her glow was everything. " How ya feeling ?" I asked her. " I feel good Matt. I really do. I'm so excited to see everyone. Oof Jeesh! " she interjected wincing. I sat up, " are you okay? what's wrong?" I asked her. She lifted up her shirt that hugged her belly for dear life and started feeling where they were. " The swimmers kicked me!" she said laughing. "lemme feel!" I said. Me feeling their kicks was a wake-up call that I was really about to have kids.  Pay felt around her belly and we were both startled seeing a tiny movement towards the top of her belly. She took my hand it put it above the spot we just saw moving. Towards the bottom of her belly, we saw more movement so I put my hand there. She tapped her finger against her belly, and I felt pressure against my bottom hand. I smiled at looked at her and she smiled down at me. Just then I felt pressure against my top hand and I was so excited that they were both responding to me. This was surreal. 

After that sweet moment, we both decided it was time for us to get ready for the big day ahead of us. Pay took her shower first because it would take her longer, so I went down and fixed her a quick breakfast, since I was gonna take her to brunch. I cut up an apple got a peanut butter cup. I also toasted and put cream cheese on a bagel. By the time that was done, she was ready and all dressed. She looked SO cute in this black and white thick striped flow dress, brown wedges, and a matching brown hat. I love her. I do. She came at sat at the counter and eyed the food. " Is this for me??" She asked mischievously. "Of course bug. We're going to brunch before the shower but this is your snack, I know how hungry you three must be" I said. " Daddy knows us so well." she said smiling. I placed the food in front of her and walked around the kitchen counter. I took her head into my hands and pulled her in for a kiss. " I love you so much baby" I told her. " I love you too bug." she said. I smiled and went upstairs to go get ready.

Payton's POV

After I smacked tf out of my breakfast, I sat on the couch on my phone looking at potential baby names. Matt came down the stairs looking like a snack and a half, wearing Sperry's, cute khaki shorts and a sexy black button up that him being his nut-ass self, he didn't button all the way up. "come here" I said motioning him over. He walked over and I adjusted his collar and fixed him up. " you look handsome babe" I told him smiling. He blushed. "Thanks love. You ready? " he asked me gripping my thigh. oOOo that felt good. " Mhmm lets roll" I told him, standing up.
