Part 2 because a bunch a people wanted it 💕 Also, please read the a/n at the end of this.

Y/f/n = your friend's name

*Y/n's POV*

There was a knock at my door and I immediately knew who it was.

I had called my best friend, Y/f/n, soon after Shawn left and asked her to come over. She always made me feel better and after finding out that Shawn cheated on me, that was exactly what I needed. Plus, she always had good advice.

I opened the door and Y/f/n stood right outside. "Hi," I said with a weak smile.

She came up and hugged me, her arms around my neck. "How are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm okay," I told her.

She let go of me, but kept her hands on my shoulders. She looked in my eyes, "You promise you're okay?"

"Okay, I might have cried a little," I admitted, "Maybe more than a little."

Y/f/n hugged me once again before I shut the door and we went inside. "I can't believe he would do that," she began, sitting on the couch next to me, "He's such a jerk."

"I never thought Shawn would cheat on me either," I sniffed, "I thought he loved me enough not to, but apparently not." My head was hanging down. I couldn't believe that I didn't mean as much to Shawn as he meant to me.

Y/f/n put her hand reassuringly on my arm. "If you want to talk about anything, I'm here for you," she comforted.

I sighed, "I just keep thinking about how upset Shawn looked as he left. And how much he tried to make me forgive him. Maybe he still loves me."

"Nope," Y/f/n shook her head, "You are not taking him back just like that."

"But what if he does still love me?" i argued, "What if I miss my chance?"

"Y/n, if it happened once, it is going to happen again," she continued, "I know you still love him and you're hurt, but he cheated on you. And you and I both know that there's no way he was so drunk that he completely forgot about you and your relationship. A good guy doesn't do that."

"You're probably right," I said looking up at her.

"You know I'm right," she joked.

I laughed, "Yes, you're my best friend and you're always right." It felt good to smile. But it didn't take long for me to remember the situation.

"What am I gonna do when he comes over tomorrow morning?" I worried, "If he tries to apologize, I don't want to fall for it."

"You have to stay strong," Y/f/n advised, "And I know you'll make the right decision. You're literally one of the smartest people I know."

"Thanks," I smiled.

Y/f/n stayed over for a couple more hours while we just hung out and watched random things on Netflix. It was really great to know that I still had someone by my side. Eventually, when we were both pretty out of it from staying up so late, I hugged her goodbye and she left.

I was really tired, so I went right to bed. However, it was hard not to think about the fact that there was no one sleeping on the cold sheets next to me.

In the morning, I showered and got ready for the day before I got a text. It was from Shawn. "I'm outside" it said.

Taking a deep breath and replaying my conversation with Y/f/n, I went to the door and opened it.

"Hey," Shawn greeted, standing there awkwardly. His hands were in the pocket of his sweatshirt.

"Hi," I said without a smile. I then stepped to the side so he could come in.

"I um packed up some of your stuff in a box and left it on the bed," I spoke, "It might make things a little quicker."

He nodded, his lips pressed together, "Thanks. I guess." Shawn went to our room while I stayed by the front door. My foot kept tapping on the floor while a million thoughts ran through my head. In a few minutes, Shawn came back with his suitcase, a backpack, and the box I had put together.

"I can help you take that stuff to you car if you want," I offered.

He shook his head though, "No it's fine." He stepped through the doorway and walked to his car.

I stepped outside, shutting the door behind me. I stayed standing on the porch.

When Shawn was finished loading up the stuff into his jeep, he came back up to me. "I know you probably don't want to hear this, but I really am sorry," Shawn put in, "I shouldn't have cheated on you. Even if I was drunk, I know I shouldn't have done it. And to be honest, I knew it was wrong the whole time. I'm so sorry."

"Shawn," I breathed, "Thank you for apologizing, but it doesn't fix everything. Like you said, you still cheated on me. I need some time, if everything even can been the same between us. And I'm not too sure that it ever can."

He nodded, "I get it. Maybe we can still talk sometimes?"

"Maybe," I said. It felt good setting things straight between us.

"Bye," Shawn said, meeting my eyes one last time.

"Bye."

---------

I'm sorry this wasn't a happy ending, but I thought it would be better if I made it this way. And this turned out a lot better than I expected.
