The Nerd and the Bad Boy

Chapter 35

Today is even worse. Heart breaks are honestly the worst. But I have to get to school early cause I'm touring a new kid around.

I'm honestly praying for him because our school is cruel. I want to go to a new school for a fresh start and forget about everyone here.

I put a black long sleeve shirt on with jeans. I slip my converse on and I brush my teeth and go downstairs with my backpack.

I walk out the door mentally preparing myself again for another day of school.

Once I get there I go straight to the office and everyone smiles at me.

"Alexandria, this is our new student, Daniel, you will be touring around" our guidance counselor smiled.

"Hey Daniel" I smiled.

"Hey Alexandria" he smiled back.

I heard the bell ring as I showed him where the nurses office is and the library.

"So where did you move from?" I asked.

"Maine" he shrugged.

I nodded and continued giving him a tour as classes went on.

"So there are groups I guess you can say in this school. The popular guys, which the 'leader' I guess you can say is Jason Carter, the popular girls which the 'leader' of that is Lindsey Adams, the computer club, chess club all that type of stuff" I explained.

"What group are you in?" he asked.

"Well I don't have a group" I laughed nervously.

"Why not?" he questioned.

"Well I'm the nerd of the school, along with four eyes, brace face, nobody, and poor girl" I sighed.

"You don't have braces though" he said.

"I did" I shrugged.

"If you get bullied then report it to the school" he said.

"My mom did before, it only got worse so I kind of try blocking it out" I said.

"If you want I could be your friend" he offered.

"I'm going to save you right now, don't be my friend. You will just get bullied, try fitting in with the people who have the same interests as you" I said.

"I don't care if I get bullied" he shrugged.

"You should, I got bullied ever since 6th grade. What interests you?" I asked changing the subject.

"I am into computers, and like building electronics" he said.

I nodded and showed him the computer room.

"This is where they have a computer club every Wednesday after school. It's where you learn about computers and build different things out of old ones" I explained.

He nodded and showed him the rest of the school as Jason stared at me whenever he was passing to his next class.

I actually had a good time with Daniel, he was really sweet and he seemed like genuinely cared about me. But I know it will change. He dresses like he could be popular so they will probably suck him in to be one of them sooner or later.

Lunch time came around and I just sat in the normal back table with my headphones in listening to music.

I was playing Color Switch and I felt a tap on my shoulder which made me fail the level. I pulled out my headphones and it was Jason. I was hoping it was Daniel but oh well.

I put my headphones back in and it was pulled out. I glared at him and put them back in but he took a seat and pulled my headphones out once again.

"Get the fuck away from me" I snapped.

I looked behind him and I saw Daniel already laughing with the "computer club" so I guess he listened to my advice and not be friends with me.

"I wanted to apologize-"

"No. Shut up Jason. I don't want to hear your lame ass excuse. You broke my heart congratulations" I mumbled.

"I was dr-"

"Jason! Shut up!" I snapped.

"I just want to say sorry" he sighed.

"I'm sorry too. I'm sorry for ever falling in love with you. I'm sorry for ever thinking you cared. I'm sorry for even talking to you. I'm sorry for becoming your friend. I'm sorry for making your life worse. I'm extremely sorry for wasting your time. See I apologized, now please leave me alone" I cried softly.

He moved his hand closer to my face and I slapped it away.

"Don't touch me" I spat.

I got up and walked out as tears streamed down my face. I ran to the bathroom and slid down the wall.

"Boy troubles?" Lindsey asked.

I looked up and she was laughing along with Sophia and Allison.

"Leave me alone" I whispered.

"It only gets worse. Oh wait. No one else would actually want you. Jason did it for a bet he honestly doesn't care, Noah bet on him it was all part of their plan" she laughed.

They walked out and Sophia crouched down by me and she looked at me. She took my glasses off and punched me right in the eye.

"I regret ever becoming friends with you" she growled.

She walked out leaving me to cry and hold my eye in pain. I heard the bell ring and I got up and walked to class with my head down.

*after work*

I got home around 12 today because I had to work later than usual. I got my second pay check today and I got $80.75 with all my jobs together.

It's a lot but I can't live off that. My fridge is almost empty so I can't afford new shoes I have to buy food first. Even though my right shoe has a hole by my toe and my left one has a tiny hole on the bottom.

I did my homework and did laundry and by the time I was done it was 4:30.

I jumped in the shower and got ready for the day. Not wanting to deal with anyone.
