After a long night of tossing and turning it is now 5:30 and I get out of bed.
Jason slept at my house last night and of course it's one of the hottest nights and I have to wear a sweatshirt.
Well you see, I did a few more 'you know' on my arms yesterday morning.
Anyways I take a cold shower and blow dry my hair. I did everything I needed to do and walked out of the bathroom.
I was wearing high waisted shorts and a sweater.
I opened my room windows to get a cool breeze blowing so it's not as hot.
I walk out of my room and see Jason laying there looking at the ceiling.
"Morning" I said.
He turned my way and smiled at me while rubbing his eyes.
He got up and changed in the bathroom and came out wearing a muscle tank top and shorts.
I jumped on the counter and started eating a granola bar when Jason came up and took a bite.
"Hey!" I whined.
"What?" he asked innocently with a goofy smile.
I glared at him playfully and continued eating it.
"Why you wearing a sweater? It's like 1000 degrees outside" he said.
I just shrugged and turned around on the counter to grab a plate.
"You're tiny" he laughed.
"Haha funny" I said playfully.
I hopped off the counter and made him eggs quickly and when they were finished I handed it to him and drank orange juice.
"You know the Spring Formal is coming up" Jason mumbled with food in his mouth.
"Congrats" I giggled.
"You going?" he asked.
"Probably not, no" I shrugged.
"Why not?" he asked.
"It's not my thing I guess. To wear fancy dresses for the night and someone gets voted king and queen cause they are popular" I sighed.
"You wanna go with me?" he asked.
"I don't have enough money to buy a dress" I mumbled.
He walked over to me and looked me in the eyes.
"It's ok, just wear a dress you have" he smiled.
I nodded and he went back to his eggs. I went to my room and grabbed my backpack and slipped my shoes on and looked in my closet.
My mom gave me a dress she wore to her prom and I planned on wearing it to prom too. It's extremely beautiful. Maybe I can wear that to the spring formal too.
I walked downstairs and Jason was already ready and was leaning against the door.
"Ready to go?" he asked.
I nodded and we drove off to school.
*after school*
As we get to Jason's house I'm silent.
Today was a really bad day for me and to top it off. I've been sweating all day and I can't do anything about it.
We walk in his house and it's nice and cool. Oh thank god I thought I was about to die from sweating.
His mom smiled at me, then looked down at my arms and looked back up at me and smiled again.
I sat on the couch as I saw her pull Jason into another room.
*Jason's pov*
"Do you know why Alexandria's wearing a sweater?" my mom asked.
"Cause she said she wanted to" I shrugged.
"Honey I think she did something to herself" she whispered.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"When me and your father went to her house yesterday she had bandages on her forearms claiming she cut them while cleaning. I don't think she cut them while cleaning" she explained.
"Oh no" I mumbled go myself.
I quickly walked out of the guest room and she was laying on the couch with her right arm covering her eyes.
"Alex" I said.
"Hmm" she mumbled.
Here goes nothing.
*Alex's pov*
He grabbed me by my hand roughly and I shot up.
"Ow Jason" I said trying to pulled away.
He just grabbed both my hands and put them together and pulled up my sleeve only to reveal my bandages.
"Don't" I warned.
He unwrapped one to also reveal my cuts. He gasped and looked up at me.
"Why did you do it?" he asked softly.
I just shrugged and looked at my lap.
"Alex, why did you do it?" he asked again.
I just shrugged again and he grabbed my chin and put it so I was looking at him.
"Why did you do it?" he asked quietly.
"I thought you hated me" I whispered.
He pulled me into a hug and I saw his mom slightly smile at us.
At least he knows I guess.
