Description:

A normal high schooler transmigrated into another world, with her average IQ and low EQ, she was more or less useless to become someone powerful. Only trying to live a peaceful and safe life, but with bad luck running in her blood things would get more dramatic than she had thought.

An adorable boy suddenly came back in her life after eight years as a cold and powerful man but just being with her, he would turn back to the adorable side of his.

Joining the mysterious treasure hunt, with her bad luck, she no longer had a peaceful and safe life.

"Promise to never leave me."

"I promise."

-

"Why did you leave me?"

"I'm sorry."

-

"You aren't allowed to leave again."

"...."

"I don't want you to leave me."

There are many transmigration stories that have been written but generally, the main character is almost always someone born into an important family and the schemes start right away at home. What I really like about this story is that the female lead is a perfectly normal girl (or as normal as this mischievous, money grubber can get). She has no special assassin or doctor skills, she's just an ordinary girl born into an ancient setting version of her own country in a parallel universe.

So what makes her so special?

She's kind of relatable.

When she's reborn in this new world, she's not some genius or Mary Sue. She acts and feels more normal compared to them, which is pretty sweet for a change. For example, she admits that even if there was magic or cultivation in the world, she still wouldn't have practiced any because she hates exercise. That hit me because I'm the same. I can't imagine how so many main characters in the novels we read are such hard workers that they spend hours cultivating and going through intense training. I feel a deeper connection with her than I do with most other MCs because she seems more real.

The Male Lead is cold to all but loving towards her and super possessive, the type to even get jealous of his own horses. If you're into that, which I'm sure many of you are, you'll melt at their interactions.

There is plenty of humor in this story, and it's not the kind you usually see in wuxia novels that are laugh or cry moments that only get a chuckle out of you at most. There are times you will laugh out loud when reading this. Beware of the ending though. It's not a bad or tragic ending but it still might leave you feeling empty or wondering about what you just read.
