MelMart Discourse

This is about the Felony Martinez vs Timothy Heller incident/Discourse/drama or whatever. What I'm talking about involves sensitive subjects such as manipulation and sexual assault.

Ya know what really gets my blood boiling? When people say Timothy is doing this for "attention" or "she wants to ruin Felony's career". But, honestly? This is exactly why she wasn't going to say something about this. Rape victims are often victimized, people say that they're lying or overreacting, and if you say a popular celebrity did it, people automatically assume that they're just trying to destroy that celebrity's career.

Timothy wouldn't gain anything from coming out about sexual assault. Maybe a lot of support and love, but she's talking about a celebrity that has a demographic of 12-16 year old girls. And 12-16 year old girls are insane and wouldn't give up their idol for anything. So, what would she gain?

Another thing is that people are staying neutral. But, this is only for a "moral high ground". The moral high ground is good for nothing except that when more discourse starts, when you jump back into drama you have a better chance of breaking your neck. If you're still neutral about this, you're either a crazed Melanie Martinez Fan who refuses to take her off a pedestal, or just refuse to read and understand both of their tweets.

Another thing that really gets my blood boiling is "why did Timothy go to Twitter and not to the authorities?" Well, she probably would've gotten the same reaction. A mix of people that think she's telling the truth or that she wants to ruin someone's career. And that can also be used against Melanie. If the claims are untrue, why didn't she have Timothy go to court for slander?

In my eyes, Felony has never been a good person to look up to. Why should that change now?

And lastly, silence does not equal consent.
