Lately I find myself in a lot of the vices that once plagued me and my prevailing reason to be happy is "at least I'm not as bad as I was in tenth grade". This says very little about my actual situation because at this point I've demonized what was likely just a somewhat less than ideal state of mind into the fugue and acrimony it has come to represent. It says something about memory... does how we choose to remember ideas shape the experiences themselves when we no longer live in them? If we are our memories and past experiences, and those are warped, what does that make our pasts? A reaction, in the moment, to a loose series of events that can be rearranged to fit a narrative? Freaks me out.
Regardless of whatever happened in tenth grade, one thing is certain, and that is that I draw way too much in class to be good for my education.

I finished Broken Souls about half a year ago now and while I have received calls for a sequel, what sticks with me more are the lovely comments I received on the last chapter. These fans were some of the most playful, most dedicated fans I've ever had, and even if I have no plans to write more Pokemon fanfiction, I am still eternally grateful for them. The characters themselves? They're resting.
They earned that.
