Your heart was nearly stopping, you had this huge lump in your throat after you dry swallow a big pill.

Your eyes were closing and your vision was now blurry.

'Heh.... S-sorry.. Sonic.. Shadow.. ' you mentally said to yourself before your eyes closed forever.

While your heart was slowly giving out, Shadow on the other hand was freaking out.

"Shit! (Y/N)!" he shook your shoulders and screamed.

Sonic came running in as soon as he heard Shadow yelling.

"Shadow what happen-" Sonic cut himself off as soon as he seen your lifeless body.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" The uttered silence was disturbed when a loud laugh was heard.

The spears within your body were now gone and your body was now on the floor in a pool of blood.

Shadow looked around frantically looking for who was laughing. He stood up and then it hit him.

"MEPHILES! YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Sonic yelled now knowing those shadows were from Mephiles.

Sonic kept yelling and telling Mephiles to show himself.

A pool of black shadows was forming on the ground, and emerging from the shadows was the dark and cruel hedgehog.

"Hehehehe... Killing her was so much easier than I expected.. " Mephiles chuckled.

Shadow stood up, letting go of your body. Mephiles was toying with Shadow's mind and it needed to stop now.

"Now that I can harvest her power... I will have the power of the chaos emeralds! " Mephiles began to walk towards your pale body.

But Sonic and Shadow stopped him.

"There is no way we are letting you touch her... " Sonic said now getting defensive.

Mephiles stopped and snapped his fingers.

A shadow emerged from the roof of the ceiling and landed by your body.

Shadow quickly spun around and looked at the hedgehog that was next to you.

"Back off Scourge.. " Shadow said coldly.

Scourge merely smiled and grabbed your body, throwing it over his shoulder and quickly running over to Mephiles.

Mephiles looked at your body and held all of the chaos emeralds out in front of him.

The color from your whole body was now draining.

The color was transferring into the chaos emeralds.

"NO! STOP IT! YOUR HURTING HER MORE!" Rouge ran in the room with tear stained eyes.

Sonic and Shadow held her back and prevented her from going any closer.

Once it was complete, your body was nothing but a black and white figure.

Mephiles was now in his final form and was laughing like a mad man.

"Arise.. My slave.. " Mephiles motioned you to stand up.

The room fell silent, no one was moving, there was no sound but the sound of everyone's breathing.

Your frail body twitched and used an arm to stand up.

Rouge, Sonic, and Shadow were examining your body.

Your eyes were white, your clothes were faded to black or gray, your fur was a light gray, and even your (H/C) quills/hair was a faded gray.

"Kill them (Y/N).. They left you for dead.. They betrayed you... They always hated you.. " Mephiles said grimly.

You grabbed your sword from the floor and got into a fighting stance.

"Yes Master Mephiles.. " You said as you charged at the three terrified creatures.

"(Y/N)!! Stop this!!" Rouge yelled as she dodged every attack you threw at her.

You blocked out the screams of your name. What mattered now was...

Eliminate them..

You were able to hit Rouge in the shoulder with your sword.

"(Y/N)-" Rouge was cut of when you drove the sword in her leg.

"(Y/N)!! BACK OFF!! I DON'T WANNA FIGHT YOU (Y/N)! BUT I WILL DO IT TO PROTECT MY FRIENDS!!" Sonic yelled getting your attention.

You pulled the sword out of Rouge's leg and pointed it towards Sonic.

"Try me... I dare you.. " You said in a sinister tone.

Sonic growled and took a fighting stance and got ready to charge at you.

That is until Shadow stood in front of Sonic blocking him.

"(Y/N)... I will not hesitate to kill you.. Back off.. I mean it.. " Shadow said coldly.

In swift movement you were gone. Shadow looked up and seem you in the air about to swing your sword down on him.

Shadow teleported in the air right in front of you and kicked you in the stomach.

You hit the ground with a loud thud. You stood up like you hadn't been touched.

But in Shadow's mind, he felt horrible for hurting you. He remembered your warm smile, your cheerful mood, your amazing personality. He would never admit it but.. He liked you in a way that he couldn't explain.

While Shadow was distracted, you ran up to him and punched him in the stomach.

"(Y/N)! We must leave now, kill them another time.. " Mephiles said as him and Scourge disappeared.

Shadow looked up at you, you were different. And it was his own fault. He didn't notice Maria hurting you. He should've helped you.

Oh what he would give to go back in time and fix all of this.

You gave him a glare before walking out of the house to follow Mephiles and Scourge.

Sonic was helping Rouge with her wound. 

"Can you walk..? " Sonic asked.

Rouge shook her head.

Shadow sighed and looked at the door that you had recently walked out of.

"Dammit.. " he muttered.
