As you walked back to your room, your mind couldn't help but wander to the thoughts of Shadow.

He didn't blow up on you like the first time you both met.

Your thoughts were interrupted when you bumped into a familiar bat.

"Oh Rouge I didn't see you there." You said shaking your head softly and giving her a sweet smile.

"Don't worry about it doll, but did you talk to Shadow?" Rouge asked as she place a hand on her cheek.

You gave her a reassuring nod and gave her another warm smile.

"Yup I did. Me and him are at peace... I guess?" you chuckled softly and rubbed the back of your neck.

"Well that's good. Oh yeah I'm only gonna be here for 1 more day then I'll be gone but I'll visit you often to keep you company." Rouge said as she grabbed both of your hands and holding them.

This made you feel many emotions, sadness, fear, slight anger. Once she left, Shadow may leave the house to go on adventures or something. You would be alone.

"O-okay make sure to try and visit because I'm still a bit uneasy with the whole thing that happened last night.." you said, visibly shaken about this.

"Of course I'll do my best to visit you everyday!" Rouge said as she hugged you and smiled kindly.

~• Time Skip •~

You were in your room getting your stuff ready for 'work' tomorrow. As you were about to lay down you couldn't help but feel a bit.. Down. Maybe due to Rouge leaving? Who knows but as you laid down you began to hum a song but as you did this you began to drift to sleep. 

~• In the morning •~

You woke up to the sound of knocking on your door. You got up and looked at your clock.

'9:30 am'

Going over to your door you see Shadow standing there with his arms folded and that same face.

"Oh finally your up, but anyway (Y/N) I'm going out for a while, Rouge is already gone. But are you gonna be okay?" Shadow asked tilting his head slightly to the left.

"Uhm... I guess so.. " you said, very unsure about being left alone.

Shadow shook his head and sighed.

"I'm sorry (Y/N) but I have to go on a mission today... " Shadow said as he began to walk towards the front door.

"I'll be fine.. " You said as you followed him to see him off.

As Shadow left to work you went back into the house and ran back to your room.

Looking at your wrist communicator you scroll through the contacts until one name you spotted caught your eye.

Sonic

Taping the contact, it rang a few times until he picked up.

"Hello?" Sonic asked.

"Hey Sonic it's me, (Y/N). Do you maybe wanna come over to Shadow's house and keep me company. I'm kind of alone over here and I'm scared to be alone. " You said, the shakiness in your voice clearly visible.

"Yeah sure I'll be over right now." Sonic said as he hung up.

You heard light knocks on the front door. You knew right away that it was Sonic. You quickly ran over to the door to be greeted by a very bright blue hedgehog.
