challenge: Overdramatize a situation. Then reveal the true situation at the end.

example: A girl running to catch a bus sounds like a girl being stalked.

She looked behind her. It was coming closer. Her breath came out in short, shallow puffs. She sped walked faster. Her heel caught in the crack between the sidewalk. Her foot twisted to the side. She let out a low hiss. She bent down and wretched her heel out of the crack and continued walking. Each time her weight went to her right left she cried out. She limped, biting back the pain. She needed to hurry. She pressed on, pushing harder and faster. Faster. Only a couple more meters and she'd make it. She'd be safe.  This was her only shot. If she didn't make it- well, she didn't want to think about it.

Light shone on her hobbling figure just as she stopped in front of the bus sign. The bus door whooshed open. She breathed heavy under her breath, trying to control her breathing. The bus driver lowered the bus and she hopped on and brandished her transfer. The clock changed by a minute when she got on and it expired. She made it.

She had forgotten her wallet in her hurry to work. She only had the slip of paper from the first trip to work. She had hurried shoved the bus fare in her pocket in the morning (as she usually did for the convenience) and with the bus fare all used up on the transfer, well, she didn't have many options.
