Donna looked at Grace fidgeting through her stuff, still not fully recovered from her shock.
Grace finally paused for a moment and looked at Donna, "What is it? Say it and if you're not gonna then stop punching holes in the side of my head"
Donna shook her head, "So you're serious? You're still not convinced that your sister is fine? Grace you do know that if your parents find out about this they a--"
Grace waved a hand at her, "Yeah yeah! They're gonna realize what a big mistake they made bringing me back and send me back for good this time is the best option. I know that all too well! But they're not gonna find out about this before I find out if my sister really is just chilling around!"
Donna huffed, "Enough Grace! Your parents are convinced that she's fine and we got a text from her and her friend, that guy also confirmed the story!"
Grace threw the things in her hand to the ground, "The person they're all talking about is not my sister! Leaving town with just a text is not her style at all. I might have missed 7 years of her life but the years I didn't miss, I was very close to her! When I came home, when her school end is so close, when it's a major time for applying in different places, she would not have this attitude. And that guy, I don't know what she was trying to get across but it's not enough to believe this. And my parents, don't even get me started on that" She bend down to find something again.
Donna looked at her phone, she was her psychologist after all, it was her duty to make sure she was completely normal. And this obsession was not a good sign. She contemplated calling her parents or the hospital.
Grace sighed as if sensing Donna's internal struggles, "Donna...I will go back to the hospital myself after this, I wasn't there for her all this time no matter how badly I wanted to be. I have a weird feeling about this situation, just let me do a little search. My parents, they're cowards, they would rather pretend nothing is happening then later regret not paying more attention and try to move on from that rather then actually paying attention at the required time. I will go back for a regular check up with you myself but let me do this. I have to do this. Please."
Donna looked at her pleading friend, "I will give you a day, then I can't do this anymore. I'm a doctor, I have to keep the parents informed and have to follow my observations!"
Grace nodded, "Thank you.." She looked down at the things on the ground when suddenly her face lit up with joy, "Found it!" She squealed.
Donna was very curious now as she tried to look at what she found, "A backpack?" Now she was more worried about her mental condition then ever.
Grace looked at Donna in disbelief, "A backpack! Pfffft! This is not just any backpack! This is my special spy gear! I used to spy on my crushes with my best friend with this baby! It has everything you could possibly need in such a situation!"
Donna did a double take of Grace, "So you were always quite unstable?"
Grace waved her hand, "Whatever! We all have our guilty pleasures"
Donna remembered her childhood and shivered at the memory, "Yeah well! Whatever! So what's the plan?"
Grace looked at her astonished, "Do you have no experience? Of course we will start by checking the room of the subject, we ought to find some clue of where she could be from there!"
Grace begin walking towards her bedroom door to exit when Donna exploded, "What? No way! Who do you think I am? There's no way I'm searching someone's room like that without their permission!"
