Saturday.
Today was Saturday.
Did I know how close Saturday was, when I made him ask me out? Why would I do something that desperate!
And about a week passed since that fight happened between Sophia and I. She hadn't called and neither had I.
And I wasn't planning to either. Just how dare she made a fool out of me in the exact middle of the cafeteria? Yelled at me? Just for talking about boys? I wanted to shoot her, but I knew I could never do that. I loved her too much.
And who was I kidding? I missed her, very very much. But no way am I going to call her.
OMG I have never gotten ready for a date without her? Saturday was the worst day to plan this date. The worst! Sooo bad!!
I heard a knock on the door of my bedroom, "Come in!" I practically screamed. I slapped a hand on my mouth. Keep it together girl, keep it together!
My mother entered, "Sweety are you okay?"
I started laughing, "Yes mother! What made you think I wasn't? Today is a very special day...like for me not internationally...I mean! Pfff forget it! I'm okay? Are you? I mean-" my mother thankfully stopped my ranting by showing me the silence hand gesture. From my very childhood, that palm meant some real silencing rule.
I swallowed.
"Are you going on a date today?" My mother guessed
I looked at her, for a very long time, slowly my lips started to quiver and in a millisecond I started sobbing on spot. One of my many talents, "YES! YES. I AM A MESS MAMA. I AM SO SAD" and then I sobbed even louder and humiliatingly that if my next door date heard or saw me like this, he would pack up his stuff and leave and wouldn't return for years trying to fight his nightmares.
"Baby calm down" my mother tried to hug me and I was kind of walking and crashing into many things around my room, like walls for instance. Classy, I know.
"And Sophia is not even here, and he's so proper. Why do I not have more experience?" I think that came out wrong.
"You can always call and cancel?" I look at her with as wide eyes and horrified expression that I could manage.
I think my mother was a little scared, as she backed away a little, "Or I could always help you? I was quite the out going person back in my days?"
That calmed me down a little, "You were?"
"Yes, we will look into you're cupboard here and pick out clothes and then give each other little tips on dating and go over the make up?"
I calmly sat down, I was feeling better now.
"Okay, then let's get started, shall we?" I practically clapped and bobbed my head grinning. No just kidding....
Hours later...
"Thank you mother..." I looked very beautiful, not to be arrogant or conceited or anything...
"Who is it anyway?" Mother asked
I was wearing a tight button up shirt grey shirt, skinny jeans and my high heels boots. My hair were beautifully curled and pinned a little so I looked pretty yet elegant. My lip gloss was a bold pink shade with a little blush on and natural eye make up.
I didn't want to carry a bag so I just grabbed my phone and wallet. Just then we heard a horn. Nice sound. I giggled.
"It's our new neighbour!" I said leaving the room.
"Oh no sweety! I'll go see what he wants" my mom's voice sounded out
"No Mom! I also meant, my date. It's our new neighbour!" I said and quickly ran towards the door.
I heard my mother gasp.
Surprise surprise!
