I looked down at my book then back at the white board. While all I  was really seeing was Elliot, the boy I was rescued by, whom I kissed and ran away was my next door neighbour. I looked at my left, through the window of my class room, we will be able to see each other like this every day.

What am I gonna do? I squeezed my eyes shut.

"Miss Daiches" Professor Reynolds said, I could tell he was standing right in front of me.

Great.

"Can you tell me what this chapter is about?" I looked at him and nodded.

I looked down at my textbook to see I hadn't even opened it, I quickly grabbed it off the table and opened it, hoping he wouldn't notice. But of course, that would actually be a lucky thing on my part.

"It's page 147 if you please" I grimaced, I was supposed to be the good ones, since when did I get treated like this.

I opened the page and scanned the page, now you see, I was a good student as I had already been through the chapter out of boredom.

Confidently now, I cleared my throat and spoke a couple of sentences eloquently which summed up the whole chapter in the best way possible.

Professor Reynolds looked at me, trying to look serious but I could tell he was holding back a smile.

The bell rang, signalling the end of today's school day.

I got up slowly as if it took me great strength. Sophia gave me a once over, "You're going to them, aren't you?"

Hahaha immediately my blood was pumping through my veins excited. Oh she knew me too well.

I looked at her with a big grin, "I'll text you when I'm ready to depart from them for a while." I nodded in secret code.

She winked, "Make em work for it." Gave me a little cheek kiss and went away.

I got the same nostalgic feeling I get everytime I visit them. The ones who always succeed in cheering me up.

As soon as I got out of the school building as if I was an escaped prisoner I ran towards them with all my might.

Fifteen minutes later:

I breathed in their scent as I looked around at their faces all welcoming me. This was it. I was here....

"Ma'am you're kind of blocking the path for other customers. Please go towards the shelves and choose a book or back away a little for these people." The worker said with the name tag 'joe'

I looked at the people standing with their eyebrows raised as I was standing in the middle of the tiny area with my legs sprawled over the area and my arms open while I took in their scent of gravity.

I coughed saying sorry and backed away in a corner avoiding as many evil eyes as I could.

But even if i saw them all, multiplied by 20, it wouldn't matter. I was in the favourite book store of mine from my very childhood to this age.

As soon as I had the place to walk, I quickly chose my category and started searching through the shelves to find 'the' book of the week. I ran into tons of books that I had already read and adored unconditionally.

Until I found the one, I could tell from holding it that this was the book I'll be reading now. It was a 'Sidney Sheldon' book named 'Tell me your dreams'

Without delays, I sat down exactly where I was standing and started reading....

15 minutes later:

I knew it, I knew this was the one. I thought as I wiped the sweat from my forehead. It's time to take this book home and complete my current reason to live on this planet.

I went to the counter and put the book on the table. The lady knew me quite well, I gave her the look to tell me the price of this worldly pleasure and she named it. As I was about to open my bag to look for the wallet.

I saw him, just when he saw me. No, not now, not here!

A smile spread across his face as he came towards me with a key chain in his hand. He put it on the counter and turned towards me, "Breathe Emerald, get used to this, it's gonna happen a lot now. After all we are next door neighbours to each other" Elliot said

I slowly released the breath I was holding....

My my, when has my life gotten so eventful
