READ AUTHORS NOTE AT END OF CHAPTER!
(Sorry, so many sims characters, its to help with creating a picture in your mind of what the characters look/looked like.)
Snow looked at the book in her hand. The cover was mystic shades of blue and on the cover was a black, blue, and white picture of a girl in a mask and hood, bright blue eyes peering over one shoulder, and a dark blue shadow over the other.
Snow POV
Ami B. D., my mom. I flipped to the first page which was blank and then to the second. On the page, in my mom's hand writing, said:
In Memory Of My Beautiful
Lyli SnowMy light, my love, my heart, my daughter.
(Pronounced Lily Snow)
I read the description which said the book was about a girl named Lily, based on me, fighting these blue shadows with a boy name Chase, which is based on Henry. But it was different from my actual battles. This book was more about a dark spirit that needed to be defeated, not necessarily a super villain with a Peacock Miraculous. I never figured out who the Miraculous was given to or where it ended up.
I flipped to the last page, and almost dropped the book. It was one of those pages about the author. There was a collage of my family. My mom. My dad. My little brother. Me.
The picture was of me when I was eight, and my brother was five. I looked at one of the pictures of me and my brother, of us playing together. I've heard how he's turned out, and I'm sad and disappointed about it. That I couldn't help him or be there for him when he was growing up.
I looked at my beautiful mom. I remember her care, warmth, beauty.
And my dad. He was so handsome, smart, funny, loving, protective. Everything you would want in a dad.
My hands shook as I read through the author's page. 'My daughter disappeared and was declared deceased at the age of 15 in 1996.' It read.
The book slipped out of my hands and crashed to the floor, making Adrien, Alya, and Nino jump.
"Are you okay, Snow?" Alya asked, a look of concern on her face.
"Y-yeah. I'm just a little tired. I'm going to go to sleep." I said, a little dazed, walking to the bathroom to change into clothes that weren't damp and cold. I changed and then laid down on the couch, pulling my blanket up to my face. But I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep.
Adrien POV
I sat on the bed beside Marinette's, criss cross style. I looked over at Nino's bed to see Nino leaning against the pillow that was propped up against the wall, asleep. Alya had her arms wrapped around his waist, her head resting on his stomach. I looked back at Marinette. She was pale and the tip of her nose was red. She sneezed, startling me, making me flinch. Her eyes twitched and I watched them flutter open.
She gazed at the ceiling before looking over at me. Her eyes were brighter. They were her bluebell eyes, not the dim blue.
"Adrien?" She whispered sitting up a little. I reached over to the nightstand and turned on the lamp. She blinked at the sudden light.
"Hey." I whispered back. She pulled the blanket off of her and sat criss cross style like I was. I stood up and walked over to her. "Mind if I sit here?" I asked, pointing to the spot beside her. She nodded and I sat down beside her.
"When did you find us?" She asks in a faint whisper. I pull out my phone from my sweatpants pocket to check the time. 2:39 A.M.
"Seven and a half hours ago. You've been asleep for awhile. It was pretty obvious you had hypothermia." I answered.
"What about Snow? All she had was a t-shirt. She refused to take her coat back." She said, when she finished her sentence, she went into a coughing fit. I rubbed her back as she coughed.
"Thanks." She murmured, embarrassed.
"No problem. But about Snow, that was the weird thing. She wasn't even cold." I think Snow is hiding something. Well, she's been hiding a lot of things.her not having a family around for one. But she's, odd. I don't know if others realize it so I never say anything.
I look back at Marinette. She's still pale and has dark circles under her eyes. I pressed the back of my hand against her forehead, she tensed in surprise.
"Your temperature seems to be back to normal." I said with a small smile.
She smiled at me. I liked to see her smile. It reminds me of my mom's smile. So kind, beautiful, caring, and gentle. I look down at her arm and my eyes widened a little. I lifted up her sleeve a little and she gasped jerking her hand back. She looked like she was about to cry, trying to find words to say.
"It'll be okay." I pulled her into a hug, taking her by surprise. After a moment, she returned the hug. There was something about this hug, that made me not want to ever let go. I don't know what, but I like it. She cried on my shoulder and I felt bad for bringing attention to her cuts. I held her close like she would disappear at any minute. "I'm sorry." She hiccuped.
I looked into her teary eyes. "It's okay. Just, promise you'll try to stop. I know it's not the easiest thing to ask but, you're too special to do this to yourself. I'll help you." I said, holding her closer. I felt her nod as more tears spilled from her bluebell eyes. "I promise." She whispered. We sat in silence for a short while.
"You should get some more rest." I say as I release her from the hug. I tucked a piece of her dark hair behind her ear. She looks into my eyes, tear stains on her cheeks. I stood up from my spot so she could lay down. She pulled the blankets back over herself, resting her head against the pillow. I pulled her sleeves back down for her.
"Goodnight, Mari."
"Goodnight Adrien."
