Branch walked into Poppy's room to see if she was awake.
Not yet. She was still sleeping.
"Hey," he whispered, walking over o her as if she could hear him. "Wake up."
Poppy didn't move. Branch would've been nice and let her sleep, but after last night......
......Branch wanted to spend the whole day with her.
"Poppy...." he said, grabinga strange of her hair and pushing it back. "Wake up, Poppy."
Poppy's eyes fluttered open. She saw Branch, and smiled.
"Hey Branch," she said, without getting up.
"You awake, sleepy head?"
"Not quite," she said. "But I will be."
"Here," Branch reached out his hand and helped her up.
"Thanks," she smiled.
Poppy's skin seemed brighter and more colorful than it had yesterday, and even last night.
Probably because of what happened last night, Branch thought.
Branch stood there as Poppy walked around the room, and he felt a pair of arms wrap around him and a face bury into his arm.
"Hug time," he heard Poppy say.
"I thought you declared hug time was all the time?" Branch asked her.
"Exactly," she smiled. "Love you."
"Love you too," Branch said. "Go fix yourself up, I'm taking you somewhere."
Poppy hopped. "Ooo!!"
She about left the room, but Ran over to Branch, stood on her tippey tkes and kissed his cheek.
