[5] Why Is Poppy Crying?

I'm really excited to write right now so this is all I'm going to wrote as the author's note. :)

"Poppy?" Branch knocked on her bedroom door.

He didn't get a response, but her knew Poppy was in there. He cracked it open, finding Poppy with tears all over her place.

"Poppy....." Branch whispered, comforting. "Are you okay?"

She wiped her face and looked up. "Branch?" she asked. "Can I talk to you?"

Branch sat on her bed and she sat up. "Anything you want," he waited, then to comfort her, he added, "sweetie."

That made her mouth curve to a small smile. It was hard to see through all the tears, but it was there.

"Branch, do you love me?" she asked.

Branch didn't respond at first. He didn't know if this was serious, or if she was just playing a game to try and find out.

Branch wanted it to be serious. He didn't want to say that he did and then Poppy thinking he's weird or something.

She shook her head and a packet of large tears sprung put again. "It's okay. I knew it." she turned around and layer back down.

He grabbed her face, used his fingers to wipe away some wet tears, and kissed her lips.
"Poppy," he said. "What makes you ever think I wouldn't love you?"

She grabbed me. "I just, I never thought I would be so emotional about this, but, I love you Branch, and I want to be with you...."

She paused, so Bramch was about to say something, when she added:

......forever."

"Poppy," he stroked her face. "I do too."

She smiled, and wrapped her arms around him. Into his ear, she whispered:

"Thanks, Branch."
