Keep Your Promises (Cedric Diggory x Reader)

You Haven't Changed!

               "Please stop worrying, baby! Everything will be fine! You heard what Mr. Weasley said! And besides, we'll be at Hogwarts and that means we're safe! Don't worry too much, okay?" Cedric insisted as he led you down the small corridors of the Hogwarts Express.
               "I don't know how you can be so calm about this! We saw the Dark Mark! It's all over the Daily Prophet and everyone is talking about it!" You exclaimed as Cedric pulled you into an empty compartment. You sighed as he sat down and motioned to the seat next to him. Outside the rain began to pour, drenching the windows.
               "I know we saw the Dark Mark but it doesn't necessarily mean anything! I'm sure that it was just a few crazy psychopaths that wanted to play sick games on innocent people! And with so many wizards there, they probably couldn't resist the temptation," Cedric replied as you settled in next to him. You sighed and shook your head.
               "Seriously though? How are you so calm about this? Every instinct inside my head is telling me to fall apart! I can't go through any more deaths and if the Dark Lord really does come back then that's exactly what's going to happen!" Cedric turned to face you, staring straight into your fathomless (E/C) eyes. You stared back at him as he smiled. He grasped your hands firmly in his own as he did his best to reassure you.
               "Because I have the best motivation in this entire world! She's smart! She's beautiful! She's kind! She's everything good in this world! And she also happens to be you!" Cedric replied as he kissed your nose, lovingly, just as the door to the compartment banged open. You jumped.
               "It would appear that all is well in paradise," Adrian shouted as he slammed the door shut behind him. You sighed as you turned around to come face to face with your brothers. Terence gave you a toothy grin as he sat down across from you.
               "No thanks to you in the least!" You shot back as you glared at Adrian. He held his hands up in surrender and backed away from you slowly.
               "Look! We're sorry about what we said! We stepped out of line but we really just want the best for you!" Terence replied as he stood up again and held his arms open. You rolled your eyes and sighed but got to your feet and hugged them both.
               "Yeah. Whatever. As much as I love you two, you're the biggest idiots I have ever seen!" You exclaimed as they laughed and hugged you again. Terence fell back into his own seat as Adrian gave you a gentle shove, causing you to tumble backwards and fall right into your boyfriend's ready embrace. You laughed as you tilted your head back and kissed him softly.
                Cedric licked his lips greedily as you pulled back and smiled at him. He made a playful grab for your waist as the compartment door opened again. You froze as Cedric pushed you off his lap and behind him. All three of your boys were on their feet in a matter of seconds. They each had scowls maniacal enough to kill someone as they stared at the person in the doorway. Cho.
               "What are you doing here?!" Cedric spat out as he backed up, shielding you from view. You stood up and wrapped your arms around your boyfriend as you stared at Cho expectantly. Her lip began to quiver as she suddenly threw herself at Cedric's feet.
               He frowned as he staggered backwards, taking you with him. He pushed you behind him once again and kept his arm out to stop you from moving again. Cho looked up at Cedric in tears as she began to sob uncontrollably.
               "I'm so sorry Cedric! I feel terrible for what I did! Please will you forgive me! I just want to be back in your life! You mean so much to me! I just want to make things better with you! Please Cedric! My life is so miserable without you! I'll do anything to make it up to you! I swear I've changed and I see that what've I've done was wrong!" Cho cried as she stared at your boyfriend with hope that he would forgive her. She was lying.
               "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to! You hurt my baby! You threatened to kill her and that's in no way okay with me!" Cedric sneered. You pushed his arm down and stepped in front of him, putting a hand on his chest in an effort to calm him down.
               Cho looked up at you with tears in her eyes, your heels giving you an extra three inch leverage over her. She glanced at Cedric and pulled herself to her feet. You stared at her expectantly as her eyes fluttered between you and your boyfriend.
               Before you had a chance to think, Cho shoved you out of the way and ground the heel of her shoe into your ankle as if she was determined to break it. Her hand flew up to the side of your face as she slapped you hard. She pushed your out of the way and shoved your boyfriend into the wall behind him, her lips colliding with his. He struggled to pry her off of him as you sneered.
               You cracked your knuckled before you grabbed ahold of Cho's ponytail and dragged her out of the compartment while she screamed in agony. The door slid shut behind you as you slammed Cho into the wall of the corridor. She sneered as you as she clawed at your arms. You ignored the scratches appearing on your arms as you kept her pinned to the wall.
               "Let go of me! Your an egotistical maniac! Why is he with a girl like you! I mean does he not see what you're doing to me right now!" Cho screamed as she continued to scratch you. You laughed coldly as she continued to struggle.
               "You see, Cho, I'm normally extremely forgiving of people. I don't like to get into fights but I will when I have to. And you crossed way too many lines for me to forgive you! I've been waiting for this moment since the moment you interfered with my love life! I mean you frickin' threatened to kill me if I didn't stay away from my boyfriend! But now it's my turn to give you a little bit of advice! I'm sick and tired of you bitching about how miserable your life is without Cedric because the reality is, I'm with Cedric! He loves me and weather you like it or not there is nothing you can possibly do that will tear us apart! I'm sorry that you're such a miserable person and that you have absolutely no life to where it's gotten to the point that you all you can think about is breaking my relationship up! I don't care if you hate me or if you want me dead but I don't want to live with you constantly interfering with my life! And to tell you the honest truth, you are one of the most annoying, sociopathic, narcissistic, psychopathic, intolerable, miserable, despicable, bitchiest human beings I have ever met! And I cannot stand you! You may be able to fool some people with your innocent good girl act but you can't fool me! You're just like your older sister and you haven't changed a bit! And I swear that if you don't stay the hell out of my way there will be some dire consequences!"
               And with that you punched her square in the jaw as she fell to the floor in pain. If that didn't teach her a lesson then you didn't know what would. But she would learn very quickly that if she messed with you or your boyfriend, there would be hell to pay!
