It's Okay Baby! I'm Here!

"Cedric? Is that you? Ced? Baby? Please hurry! Please! I need you!" You whimpered as the sound stairs creaked and groaned. The sound of footsteps grew faster and more hurried as Cedric ran up the stairs. He was in a rush to get to you.
Cedric emerged from the shadows of the tower, his eyes searching your face. He scrambled to get to you as you propelled yourself into his open arms. He caught you as you began to sob with fear and heartbreak. He picked you up bridal style and carried you towards the wall. He sat down against it as he placed you on his lap. He brushed your hair gently with his fingers as he began to whisper lovingly in your ear.
"Baby! Aw, sweetheart it's going to be okay! Please don't cry it breaks my heart to see my princess so upset. It's okay baby! I'm here! I'm right here! Hold on to me, everything's alright. Everything's okay. I've got you!" He whispered as you wound your arms around him. Your hands gripping him tightly.
"I need you. I can't...It hurts...I...I was so s-scared. D-don't leave p-please C-Ced!" You cried into his pajamas. He rubbed your back gently. Kissing you gently.
"Baby girl, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. It's okay. Just breathe. You just need to calm down. I'm here. What can I do to make you feel better?" You shook more violently with each passing second, causing his hold you tighter, trying to calm you.
"I d-don't k-know. I-I j-just want-t you t-to hold m-me. P-please?" He hugged you to him, nestling his face into you, breathing warm air onto your neck. You felt his lips moving against you as he kissed a sensitive spot on your neck. You whimpered fearfully and he pulled back, examining your face.
"Hey, sweetheart, it's okay. I'm here. Did I hurt you? Oh God! I'm just making it worse aren't I? Do you want to go to bed? Maybe some sleep will help you?" You shook your head, gripping onto his hand.
"N-no! P-please b-baby! I-I d-don't want-t t-to b-be a-alone! N-not t-tonight! E-especially n-not t-tonight! Please C-Cedric! D-don't leave m-me a-alone! S-stay?" He sighed and settled against the wall again.
"(Y/N), baby, you know I'd never leave you alone. Never in a million years. I'm right here. Do you want to talk about it? If not we can just sit here. But I think you need to go back down to bed. Or if it would help, and I know you're usually against this, but we can sleep up here tonight. I'll stay with you if you want me to. Just you and me."
"W-would y-you? P-please?" He nodded and gave you a loving kiss on the cheek. He shifted his legs, setting you on the ground next to him.
"Wait here. I'm not leaving, I'm just going to walk over there and get something," he added gently as he pointed to the other side of the tower. He turned towards you, making sure you were okay before he got up and disappeared into the shadows.
When he walked back into the light, he was carrying a large pile of 4 or 5 blankets and a few pillows. You looked him, befuddled, causing him to smirk. "I hid these up here last year after we spent the night up here that one time. Just in case we needed them. I wanted you to be comfortable. I have every intention of treating you like a princess no matter where we are." You gave him a shaky smile and pulled yourself to your feet.
He handed you a few of the blankets and a pillow. You spread them on the ground as he did the same, creating a makeshift bed. You removed your flats as he pulled off his boots. He pulled back the covers, allowing you to slide underneath them. He slipped in beside you, his chest pressed tightly against your back, his left arm folded underneath his head and his right slung protectively over you. Your arms folded themselves over his hand and forearm as he snuggled in closer. You leaned back, into him as he gently nibbled your ear, causing you to shiver from his closeness.
"Do you want to talk about it now? Or do you want to go to bed? Either way I'm here for you and I'm not going anywhere. Ever." You sucked in a wary breath, trying to focus.
"I'm sorry if I worried you. I'm probably over-reacting but it seemed so real! When that Boggart came out and turned into my father...well...you saw what happened..." Cedric propped himself up on an elbow and kissed your lips gently.
"You're not over-reacting, baby. I hated that Professor Lupin made us do that! He shouldn't have made you face that Boggart. Your father is a douche bag. I don't want him near you ever again. And he'll never lay another finger on you if I can help it. I wanted to see you immediately after it happened but I thought better of it. But it's over now, princess. It's over and I'm here. I'll protect you. I'll keep you safe. I'll always be here to keep you safe."
"Thank you, baby. I love you. I love you so much. I swear I'd be a complete disaster without you. You're the love of my life. You're my protector. And I can't live without you!" You whispered as you pressed another kiss to his soft lips. He smiled against you.
"I love you too! You're my baby! I'll always be here! I'm not going anywhere. One day (Y/N), we're going to get married. We're going to have a family. And nothing will ever be able to come between us, ever again. Forever and always. That's our promise and I intend to keep it as long as I'm alive. That is if that's something you want," he replied shyly.
"That's all I want, Ced! And that's all I will ever want. Forever and always. I love you. You're everything I could ever want! Everything I could ever ask for!" You responded, yawning. Cedric laughed lightly, kissing you one last time before sinking back on his pillow as your eyes slipped shut, leaving you in a deep sleep.
"You're all I could ever want and more (Y/N). That'll never change. I love you too. More than you'll ever know. Goodnight. Sweet dreams, my love. Everything'll be okay baby. I'm right here."
