"Thank you for your cooperation, Ms. Prior and Mr. Eaton. Ms. Prior your journey ends tomorrow. You will be executed."

No.

NO.

I can't leave Tobias. I don't have much time to think, or move, the soldiers shut the door in my face before marching off. I kick the door out of frustration, it rattles in protest as I pace back and forth across the room. I cup my face in my hands, rubbing slow circles on my forehead. I need to sit down for a minute.

I walk over to the bed and sit next to Tobias, he slides his arm protectively around my waist as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"I don't want to die." I whisper to Tobias, tears welling up in my eyes. He pulls me into a hug, but doesn't say anything, but I don't mind, the silence isn't awkward, it's comforting. I cry almost silently into his shoulder, my tears quickly wetting his shirt.

I hear footsteps coming towards us, I almost completely forgot Caleb was in the room.

"Beatrice," Caleb starts, reaching out a hand as if to comfort me,but he thinks better of it and drops it so it hangs loosely at his side.

"What Caleb?" I snap harshly, pulling away from Tobias while standing up.

"I-I'm sorry," Caleb stutters, his shoulders shriking down to half their normal size.

"Sorry about what?" I question, stepping closer to him. He shrinks back even farther, "Sorry about WHAT Caleb" I growl through gritted teeth.

"Beatrice I-" Caleb starts again, but I cut him off again. I take a few more steps towards him.

"Sorry. For. What. Caleb?"  I growl again, enunciating each syllable clearly.

"Thisisallmyfault." He says hurriedly closing his eyes as if he's scared of me.

Wait.

What?!

"What's all your fault Caleb?" I say to him quietly, deadly, grabbing him by the arm and yanking him upwards.

"I-I-" He stutters, his expression wavering between guiltiness and fear. When did Caleb become this afraid of me? I slap him across the face hard, my hand stings from impact. There is now a red mark forming on the cheek I hit him on, that's going to leave a nice bruise.

"What was that for?!" He asks catching his breath, obviously surprised by my actions towards slapping him. Tobias starts to laugh, but quickly suppresses because of the look Caleb gives him. "And you," Caleb continues pointing to Tobias with the hand that isn't cupping his cheek, "You thought that was funny?"

"Yes, I did." Tobias retorts standing up from the bed and walking over to my side, wrapping his arm around my waist.

I pull him into a hug, he pulls back slightly so our foreheads are touching, I've gotten used to this, the amount of space between us doesn't matter anymore. He presses his lips firmly to mine, his hands finding the small of my back, pushing me closer. My arms instinctively snake around his neck and clasp together there.

"Beatrice." Caleb says trying to get my attention, I don't bother answering him, I continue kissing Tobias as if Caleb never existed. Caleb clears his throat, "Beatrice." he repeats, annoyance clear in his voice.
