Lilith paced back and forth, nervous about Kaden waking up again. They had taken the pain medications away a few hours ago, now that his ribs were healed, he wouldn't need them. However, that meant he would know where he was and he would most likely flip out. He hated the hospital, he could be partially dead and he would still refuse help. At the sound of someone sitting up in a bed, she spun around to see him staring at her.

"Morning." she said nervously.

He frowned, "Care to explain why I'm in the hospital?"

"Well, you see, the infection almost reached your heart in less then twelve hours and-

"It's fine."

She frowned, "What?"

"You're nervous about me freaking out, right?" he mused.

She nodded silently.

"It's fine, if I wasn't dying or whatever, then I would have been pissed." he said, smiling a little.

"So...you're not mad?"

"No."

She released a breath before hopping onto the hospital bed and laying beside him. He chuckled softly and wrapped his arm around her, he planted a soft kiss on her temple, grinning when she kissed him on the cheek. For a while, they laid there in complete silence until Viktor decided to walk in, causing Kaden to growl lowly.

"Stop it." Lilith scolded, slapping him on the shoulder.

He looked at her with black eyes, but she continued to glare back at him. He sighed before looking away, his whole body was stiff as his older brother walked further into the room.

"Um, so the infection is gone and your ribs are healed." he started. "You can probably go home tonight."

Kaden clenched his jaw, "Thank you."

Lilith suddenly smirked and hopped off of the bed, "Well, I'm going to check on my children. Oh and your sister should be here in a few hours. Someone should greet her. You two...play nice."

Once she walked out and closed the door, Viktor took a slight step away from his younger brother. Kaden's eyes flashed with anger as he glared at his brother, Viktor gulped before nervously laughing.

"If looks could kill, I would ten feet under." he joked.

Kaden raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

"What? I make stupid jokes when I'm nervous, that murderous look on your face isn't helping." Viktor mumbled.

"Well, gee, I'm sorry, am I supposed to hug you or something?" Kaden retorted.

Viktor frowned, "Well, no-

"Then what do you expect me to be like, Viktor? You ignored me, treated me like shit, and blamed me for something that wasn't my fault. And for twenty years, I had to deal with my older brother hating me and my younger sister trying to get us to get along again. Oh, let's not forget that the last time we were in the same room, you broke my jaw." he snarled.

Viktor sighed, "I'm sorry, okay? I know, I was being a huge idiot."

"You can say that again."

"However, I would love it if my little brother wouldn't hate me and we could leave this in the past." Viktor replied.

Kaden frowned, "You don't hate me?"

Viktor smiled before bringing his little brother into a hug, "You're my baby brother, how the hell could I hate you? Plus, I can't handle our crazy sister alone...she tried convincing me to dye my hair some ungodly color."

Kaden raised an eyebrow, "And what color was that?"

"Pink."

"But...shouldn't you like pink? I mean, you're gay aren't-

"I hate you again."

"Stop lying."

"Asshole."

"I prefer smartass."

"I definitely hate you again."
