Imagine #13: Elijah & the Mikaelsons

Imagine Elijah inviting you to his house for dinner and meeting his family

You and Elijah have been dating for months now, and you both took your relationship very seriously. You loved each other and everything seemed to go well between you two. You never argued with him, in fact, you got along really well with each other. You quickly became an important part of his life, and soon, his siblings began to question him about that mysterious girl who stole his heart. He often gushed over how much he loved you and boasted about how pretty and sweet you were. Indeed, he could spend hours rambling about you and list all of your qualities to no end without growing tired of it. His siblings have heard so much compliments about you, and they quickly understood that you meant a lot to him. They were dying to meet you and get to personally know you. They've been entreating Elijah to bring you home, and albeit he refused at first, they insisted until he finally accepted.

For quite a while now he thought about inviting you to his house in order to present you to his relatives, but he still hesitated whether he should or not for many reasons. He didn't want to rush things, and he thought it was too early to introduce to his family yet or that you might refuse his invitation. Until one day, he mustered all of his courage, and finally decided to ask you if you would like to come over for a family dinner. You were surprised by his question, but you obviously agreed despite how nervous and anxious you felt about it.

You were utterly overwhelmed and stressed out to meet your boyfriend's family. What if they rejected you, or worst, hated you? You didn't know what to expect from them. All those negative thoughts flooded your mind and your brain ran amok imagining the worst case scenarios. Elijah hadn't told you much about his siblings. However, he warned you about the fact they could be out of their minds sometimes and that they might tease you the first time you meet, but once you got to truly know each of them, you would instantly become friends. 

The Mikaelsons had the reputation of being reckless and dangerous, and all the bad things you've heard about them kind of intimidated you and made you feel even more jittery and reluctant to meet them. While you dreaded that your boyfriend's family might not like you, Elijah feared that this family dinner turned into a disaster. He knew how crazy his siblings acted sometimes, and he was worried that one of them might do or say something wrong and thus ruin everything. However, at the same time, he was excited for you to finally meet his them. This family dinner obviously meant a lot to him.

He wanted everything to be perfect, and he made sure things went as planned.

"Y/N is on her way. Remember what I said, no bickers, no inappropriate jokes or anything else that may put her in an uncomfortable position. Please behave yourselves." Elijah declared.

The Mikaelson siblings all lounged in the living room, waiting for your arrival, as Elijah instructed them to act like civilized people.

"Tell that to Kol. He's the one who never listens." Rebekah said.

"What are you saying? I never disobey." Kol replied.

"Yes, you do."

"Shut up Rebekah." Kol grumbled, throwing a pillow at her.

"You shut up!" She retorted.

Klaus remained silent and watched his two siblings bicker like kids, a smirk plastered on his face.

"Oh, don't start Nik." Rebekah muttered.

"I didn't say anything." He chuckled.

"Y/N is not even here yet and you're already fighting. This family dinner is going to be a complete disaster." Elijah sighed.

"Stop worrying, Elijah. We will do exactly as you said." Rebekah reassured. 

"I hope."

They were all keen and impatient to meet you, while you, on the other hand, freaked out. You had just finished getting ready, and left your house, on your way to the Mikaelson's residency. A sudden wave of anxiety washed over you as you reached your destination. You took a deep breath, striving to remain as calm as possible, before knocking on their door.
