//I know this is hella short but i swear this has a hell of a lot to do with the plot. I wasn't gonna say this, but I already wrote the last chapter of this. Its short but damn, I have tears for days. Also, I probably wont be updating every day like I have been. If I do update every day, the chapters will probably be shorter. I'm working on other works as well as this one, and it's kind of overwhelming when I pressure myself to write a couple thousand words a day :/ Anyways, I hope you like this chapter! Remember to heart/vote and comment!//

Bliss. That is what I felt. Pure bliss. Fresh air filled my lungs, and the weight on my shoulders was gone. I felt free. Free from the Empire. Free from the pressure of keeping the secret. Free from the fear that my life could be ended at any moment. I stood in a meadow, grey clouds hung overhead. Though, they did not bear the threat of rain, only a promise of shade and low light. Wind wove its way beneath my sweater and I shivered. I felt a pair of warm arms wrap around me, and lips press against my shoulder. I leaned back into Anakin, feeling his chest against my back. I felt him smile into my skin and he lifted his head so that his face was buried in my hair. He kissed the top of my head and let go of me. He laid down in the grass, looking up at the clouds. I laid next to him, resting my hands on my stomach. The sound of lapping waves could be heard in the distance, as well as song birds. The grass was soft beneath me, and I might as well have been sleeping on a bed. Anakin grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I looked at him, and squeezed back. "Are you okay?" I tried to say, but no words came out of my mouth, and Anakin continued to stare into the sky. I frowned and looked up. The clouds moved slow, and swirls of grey and white danced together, sometimes they would expose a patch of pale blue. I let the clouds sooth my nerves, and my breathing became even and light. I had never experienced such a moment of Zen. I felt as though nothing else existed in the universe; it was only me, Anakin, and the clouds.

Suddenly, I felt rain drops hit my face, and the clouds grew black. Lightening flashed across the sky and thunder rumbled.

Anakin broke his gaze on the clouds and turned his head to me. "Why, Abilene?" His voice was hard and very out of place in this situation. I tried to ask him what he meant, but still, no word came from my mouth. "We could have been great."

I woke with a start, sweat rolling down my face. I looked at my alarm clock. It was only four in the morning. I sighed, pulling the covers over me. What did he mean? I wish I hadn't woken up. I wish I knew what he meant. What did I do? What did he mean by that? I fell asleep with his voice echoing in my head.

We could have been great.
