TMNT 2012: Mikey's Transformation (Mikey into human story)

A Month Later.....

Leo's POV:

It's been a whole month since Mikey came back to the lair. It's great to have my brother back, but he still doesn't remember anything. At least he doesn't go unconscious anymore though. I think Mikey just got so used to everything, his mind stopped looking for the memories even though Mikey wanted to see them. Mikey has been curious about everything. About us, about Splinter, Donnie's inventions and more! It was fun to tell Mikey about all these memories, but it was upsetting to. He doesn't remember them. We're starting to think he won't ever be able to remember his past. Because he doesn't remember his past, he gets stuck on ninjistu a lot. We thought he would be able to catch up easily, but he's getting stuck on everything his muscle memory didn't remember. He gets really discouraged by it. Master Splinter made him stay after one of our lessons (Raph, Donnie and I secretly listen behind the dojo door)  to tell him that he understood that he was struggling and that he was more than happy to help him more. Mikey declined, saying that he probably would never get better and that he should just give up. Luckily Master Splinter convinced him not too, and to keep trying. We all were shocked! Mikey never gave up on anything, especially when it was his ninjistu training and family! When we were little, he was always the one that was behind but he would ask all of us for help and ask for advice. He always looked up to us, and never stopped trying. Now, he was ready to quit.

We all have been trying to get Mikey back to his old self. I try and help with his ninjistu training sometimes, and while I practice with him I would tell him stories of when we were training from when we were little that always made us laugh now. Donnie has been working on a mutagen that will turn Mikey back into his turtle self without changing his mind like normal mutagen does sometimes. He's having a hard time with it, but I know he can do it. Raph has been showing Mikey a bunch of old family pictures and telling a bunch of stories about them. Mikey would listen, but he would be upset at the same time since he knows he doesn't remember them. It wasn't helping him remember, which was upsetting Raph as well. Splinter tried telling his story with Tang Shen and Miwa/ Karai but Mikey got so confused on who Tang Shen was, and how Karai and Miwa were the same person, and who Shredder was that it made no sense to him, and didn't help at all. Jamie comes over everyday like she promised Mikey. When she's over, Mikey spends all his time with her, and will go back up to the surface with her to go to the movies and to do other stuff with her. Mikey seems more connected with Jamie than anyone else. We understand why though. He knows Jamie better than anyone, even himself. Ever since he woke up with his memories lost Jamie was there beside him. She even adopted him and was willing to raise him!

We were all worried about Mikey. What if he doesn't remember? What if he just gives up on ninjistu? What if he gives up on finding his memories too? Raph was the one most worried about this. He's worried that if Mikey doesn't remember, he would never be the same. We would never get our old Mikey back. We decided that we needed to talk about it so we went into the living room while Mikey was in his room where he wouldn't be able to hear us.

"So guys, we need to figure out a way for Mikey to get his memories back." I told them.

"No duh turtle-lock. That's why we're here. Donnie how's the retro mutagen doing?" Raph asked.

"Well, not very well. I need the chemicals the kraang used to turn Mikey human."

"Then let's go and get them Shellbrain!" Raph yelled.

"Come on Raph, it's not that simple. We just can't go walking into the kraang's hideout not knowing what we are even looking for! We don't even know what it looks like, or even if the kraang still has it!" I told him. Once again my brother was being stubborn. He was getting angry again. He was more upset out of all of us that Mikey couldn't remember. He's been trying so hard, and Mikey has been trying to, but nothing gets through.
