Sorry for not posting in forever! I'm going to try and post more, and I know I said that before but this month became a lot more busy then expected :-(  Plus it didn't help with the massive writer's block. I have ben trying to write this chapter but every time I try, it just doesn't sound right. So, this chapter probably isn't as good as the others. Sorry :(

Michael's POV:

I walked and talked with April and Casey, talking about ourselves. Casey is 16 and plays hockey. April is also is 16 and is Casey's math tutor, but they are still friends.

"So Michael, where did you get that mask?" April asked me.

"I, uh, kinda found it." I said with a sheepish smile. I didn't want them to know that I don't remember who I am. I don't want anyone to know. Casey and April looked at me awkwardly. Saying I found a mask, and wear it where ever I go, doesn't make me sound weird at all! Well, it does when you don't know why. The mask is connected to my past somehow and I just feel better with it on.

"Where did you find it?" Casey asked.

"In a dumpster, like I found a free box of pizza! Dumpster pizza is my 3rd favorite kind of pizza!" I said with a smile. To my surprise, Casey and April were neither disgusted or laughing like I hoped they would (the laughing part, not the grossed out part). They actually looked a little sad.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. You just...... a friend of ours used to say that." April said.

"Who?" I asked.

"Um, you wouldn't no him." Casey said. I shrugged, as we entered steps of the school. I gasped at the large building filled with kids.

"Is this cool or what?" I asked excitedly.

"What are you talking about?" Casey asked.

"School? Duh!" I said, looking around, amazed. Like I said before, this is my first day of school, at least the first day I will remember. Casey chuckled.

"Man, are you a nerd or something? School is the opposite of cool." Casey said. April elbowed Casey in the chest.

"I'm glad you think school is cool Michael. Not many people like school." April said.

"Come on! I want to see the inside!" I said, pulling the two inside.

"Man, it's like you never been to school before!" Casey said.

"I haven't!" I said, but stopped once I realized what I said. The two looked at me weirdly.

"I mean, I haven't been to this school before! I'm not some kid who never went to school before! I totally went to school before!" Totally saved it.

"Michael you don't have to lie to us." April said. Uh oh.

"I don't?"

"Yeah, we know what's going on!" Casey said.

"Y-you do?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah! You have been homeschooled all of your life, and this is your first day of public school!" April said. Homeschool?

"Yeah man, you didn't have to hide it from us. Homeschool is nothing to be ashamed about." Casey said.

"Homeschool. Right. Yeah." I said going with it, even though I was still a bit confused.

"C'mon, I'll help you find your locker." April said.

AFTER SCHOOL

I came out of the school doors with a bag full of books, and notes, and homework. This is not what I expected. I dropped my bag on the steps, and sat down.

"I. Hate. School." I said, falling back on the other steps.

"Welcome to the club." Casey said, sitting next to me.

"Come on guys, school isn't that bad!" April said, sitting next to Casey. Casey and I gave April a look. April laughed.

"Ok, ok, school is horrible." She said.

"Hey guys! You wanna get a pizza or something?" I asked.

"Yeah, pizza sounds great!" Casey said. April elbowed him hard.

"OW! What?"

"We can't Michael. We already have plans with our friends. Remember Casey?" April said.

"Oh, yeah! They said they had a lead abo-" Casey said, but covered his mouth to stop himself talking.

"How about some other time?" April asked.

"Sure thing. See ya guys later!" I said, grabbing my skateboard, and riding off, waving good-bye. What friends, and what was Casey about to say? I shouldn't be worried about this! It's none of my business. 'Yes it is!'  a voice said in my head. April and Casey did seem familiar. What else seem familiar? Hmm, well, the painting I made about the turtles eating pizza.... something about turtles seem familiar. My head started to hurt, like a small headache. Ok, what else? My mask, that definitely has something to do with my past. So do the nunchucks! My headache grew as I thought about it. The pain kept on growing. I held my head, hoping it would pass. I looked at the road, and say a manhole cover that lead to the sewers. My head pain doubled. I started to feel dizzy, and fell off of my skateboard and into an ally. I held my head as I was hoping the pain and dizziness would pass. I couldn't stop thinking about the things. They kept zooming past in my head. My mask. April. Casey. My turtle painting. The manhole. The nunchucks. My head pain grew, and the everything began to spin. Slowly the world went black.
